Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., contends action should be taken against two judges who ignored congressional orders in the Terri Schaivo case.
Referring to U.S. District Judge James Whittemore's decision last week to reject a request for emergency intervention, Santorum said, "For this judge in this district to ignore that is tantamount, I believe, to an offense that should be discussed in the Congress."

It is both disappointing and revealing that we have too much talk and not enough action by our so-called legislators. Santorum and many others have talked about doing something about Greer, Whittemore, judicial activism, etc. . . . . . . . but I have yet to see any action.
They should have sent Greer a message right after he ignored their order and their subpeona - delivered by a half-dozen US Marshalls equipped with handcuffs.
Judicial tyranny will NOT be thwarted as long as the legislative branch takes NO ACTION everytime the judiciary spits in their face - or, from the Monty Python Holy Grail movie, farts in their general direction!!
So, the Dems actually got to impeach a Nixon!?
Depriving someone of food and water naturally is a violation of the rights held forth during the founding of this nation. Greer and his fellows can deprive someone of those substances by artificial means, but the order preventing their administration naturally went far outside the scope of what a court may order. You see, natural food and water is not a 'treatment option' that can be withheld.
So if Whittemore failed to see that in his undertakings, then he is a greater fool than Greer.
Do we prosecute those responsible for this occurring thousands of times a year in this country?
We are on the same page. Go back and read my post.
They will get old someday and thus there is a good possibility they might. It would be SWEET justice!
Time for the "government of the people, by the people, for the people", to do something about it...
They serve in "good behavior." Of course they can be impeached.
Exactly. A judge';s JOB is to apply the law, not try to make it.
You have to allow for the possibility that he is not permitted to be in public. :-)
