VATICAN CITY - Pope John Paul II is getting nutrition from a feeding tube through the nose, the Vatican said Wednesday.
Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls also said that the pontiff was continuing a "slow and progressive" convalescence.

Good thing no American Judge can order His Holiness starved to death. Not without offending 1 billion Catholics.

I made a bet yesterday that he wouldn't refuse such a tube. Too bad there was no money involved.

I'm getting the idea that eventually we will all be forced into some nondescript warehouse and hooked up to a feeding tube, while being chained to a devise that allows our "guano" to drop on a conveyor belt, where it will then be packaged and sold to third world counties to be used as fertilizer for rice farming.
This of course will become a necessary enterprise for government, as there will no longer be smokers paying enough taxes to support the welfare state.

Good thing no American Judge can order His Holiness starved to death. The first one who attempts it becomes a contender for a SCOTUS vacancy if the Democrats win back the White House.

Nobody in the world is going to choose to starve to death. If people really want to depart this earth they will do it in a faster, more painless way; but if their survival instinct remains intact they will definitely want basic food and water.
'Tis why I say that if those executing Terri Schiavo had the courage of their convictions, they would put a bullet through her head, or give her a lethal injection.

Within a year, lethal injection of patients with so-called "PVS" will be routine.
It's what they would have wanted. No one should be made to suffer like Terri. Who's going to pay the bills? They are selfishly consuming "our" healthcare.

Well, I certainly wouldn't want to live like that. This has been going on for years and this Pope just seems to be deteriorating. Can't talk... can't ski... Parkinson's...
Cut him off. Make room for an Uber-being.

So why didn't the death mongers advocate the removal of the feeding tube for Christopher Reeve while he was alive?
