Does anyone search or look at Breaking News anymore?
God speed ...
Always enjoyed listening to him- though I never once remember agreeing with anything he said or stand he took- he was a character.
Wow. I had no idea he was even ill. I certainly didn't care for him as a lawyer defending bad guys and crying racism at every opportunity. I pray he can see things a little more clearly now.
I can honestly say I am not too torn up over this news.
Gee. Too bad.
Oh great, that's all we needed to go to the other side at this point. Now George Felos will begin to channel him. /tongue-in-cheek
Meanwhile,....That POS OJ is still out playing golf.
One less racial bigot.
Good riddance, rot in hell and burn in The Lake Of Sulphur, Cockroach. As one who helped destroy Justice and The Rule Of Law in America, you truly deserve eternal damnation. IMO.
I'm sorry that he has died, especially of a brain tumor...in life, however, he was a race-baiting POS who let a multiple killer go free.
Always speak well of the dead.....hes dead? oh well
*Legendary lawyer Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., who authored the memorable quote If it doesn't fit, you must acquit while representing O.J. Simpson during his infamous murder trial, died of a brain disorder Tuesday in Los Angeles. He was 67.
"Certainly, Johnnie's career will be noted as one marked by celebrity cases and clientele," his family said in a statement. "But he and his family were most proud of the work he did on behalf of those in the community."
Born October 2, 1937 in Shreveport, LA, Cochran began his legal career in Los Angeles as a Deputy Attorney for the city's criminal division. He worked his way through the ranks and was hired as Assistant District Attorney for Los Angeles County. Cochran left the D.A.'s office to start his own firm, handling both criminal and civil cases.
In addition to O.J. Simpson, Cochran's high profile clients have included Michael Jackson, Reginald Denny, Abner Louima, Geronimo Pratt, Todd Bridges, James Brown, Angela Igwe, Sean P. Diddy Combs and Cynthia Wiggins.
While Simpson's acquittal was Cochrans crowning achievement in a career notable for victories, the colorful lawyer who looked to Justice Thurgood Marshall as a role model also championed the causes of disenfranchised black defendants.
"The clients I've cared about the most are the No Js, the ones who nobody knows," said Cochran, who proudly displayed copies in his office of the multimillion-dollar checks he won for ordinary citizens who said they were abused by police.
I wonder if St. Peter will say: "If the soul don't fit, you'll have to split..."
MSM is slow on the announcement. This was in the tabloids a couple of days day.
He had brain disorder? Did his next of kin then ordered removal of his feeding or NG tube since he would die anyway?
I have an idea. Let's all give a bunch of phoney baloney words of sorrow.
What Superstar status did he have?
They say "speak not ill of the dead", but if that was the case we'd all say nice things about Hitler. The only difference is that Hitler was a 'BIG COCKROACH', and people like Johnny Cochran are 'little cockroaches'.
An adulterer; a shyster who swindled some of his clients; and a man who played the race card to get a brutal double murderer free to spend the rest of his life enjoying his pursuits of fun and pleasure. A lawyer who knew his client was guilty, but wanted him free anyways. He got a tumor in the same brain he used to do it all. I don't wish that on anybody, but compared to Ron and Nichole, Johnny got out of this world easy. May he rest in peace?? Naw, may he meet Ron and Nichole instead to explain his twisted views of 'justice'.
