Affirmative Action Has Mixed Results for Cops

[W]hat has been ignored in the case of Brian Nichols is the role that affirmative action has played in hiring standards for police... For example, in a study I published in 2000 examining the effect of affirmative action on police hiring, a comparison of male and female public safety officers found that female officers had 32 percent to 56 percent less upper-body strength and 18 percent to 45 percent less lower-body strength than male officers...

Increasing the number of women officers under these reduced strength and size standards consistently and significantly increases the number of assaults on police officers. In general, every 1 percent increase in the number of women in a police force results in a 15 to 19 percent increase in the number of assaults on the police, because women tend to be weaker than men.. .

My research uncovered another interesting finding. Female officers are more likely to accidentally shoot people. Each 1 percent increase in the number of white female officers in a police force increases the number of shootings of civilians by 2.7 percent. Because of their weaker physical strength, female officers have less time to decide on whether to fire their weapon. If a man makes a mistake and waits too long to shoot a suspect who is attacking him, the male officer still has a chance of using his strength to subdue the attacker. Female officers (as was the case in Atlanta) will lose control of the situation at that point.

While creating a more diverse police force may produce some benefits, we still shouldn’t forget the differences between men and women. Just as women officers are better suited for some jobs, there are other jobs that simply call for large men.

Anyone notice that once they had handcuffed and shackled him when he was captured, they let ANOTHER blond female officer parade him in front of the cameras into the SUV? I didn't think that was a coincidence. I thought LE was making a silent political (PC) statement that it wasn't the woman deputy's fault he escaped, women are up to this kind of task, etc.

This can't be true. The other day I watched "Tomb Raider" and Laura Croft kicked butt...

In Toledo Ohio recently a woman inmate was being taken the St. Vincent's Hospital because she was pregnant and needed a check up when she attacked a FEMALE GUARD that was transporting her (alone) and escaped. It is pathetic that things like this happen. It just demonstrates the vast incompetence of modern law enforcement. Not to mention the fact that the woman in this case was shackled, and still escaped - she punched the woman guard and then choked her with the chains of her shackles. You could be sure that had there been a large man with a cattle prod escorting her to her Doctors appointment she wouldn't have escaped. She was eventually captured and is nor being charged with fleeing, assault, etc. (for anyone interested).

i think there is a lower rate of accidental shooting by black cops. Possilbly the same effect the black substitute had on Juan Epstein on Welcome back Kotter. The sweathogs were well behaved that day.

It was no coincidence. But like the Chief of Police said, "There's nothing a man can do physically that a woman cant do either." I suppose the fact there are no woman linebackers in the NFL is due to gender bias.

Gender bias is also the root cause of FR, because it is the root cause of EVERYTHING that feminists do not like.
