I don't want to be a hotlinker, but no matter which side of this you're on, you'll have to admit that this is the funniest take on this case yet - and it's aimed squarely at us.

So this guy is up for extermination in your book because he is on what you call "life support".
TREATING STUDENTS ON THE SPOT. . . HMS nurses grab students on the run when activities are in high gear. During the annual art show, Anita Rickards (left) stopped Derrick in the hall to administer a tube feeding, while Colleen McGowan-Hardin (right) did the same with Joey to keep the boys on schedule without interfering in their fun.

At the core of this case lies the opinions of one judge.
At the core of this is how a single lowly judge can usurp power which was never intended to be delegated. It does not matter who wears the funny black robes; the checks and balances designed as a failsafe have malfunctioned. This Republic is broken and the Republican party allowed it to happen.

I don't find anything funny about Terri being starved to death. Political cartoons are not meant to be funny, they're meant to be poignant.

I will mourn for Terri. As to needing a new cause, I don't NEED one, thanks.

There are people on this forum yucking it up while Terri is being dehydrated/starved to death. I don't think that's right. Disrespectful of the pain and suffering involved. It's NOT funny.

... Republicans will gain in the long and short run. Man, I hope you're right, I hope you're right. I'm kinda trepidacious, however.

... It's NOT funny. But its poignant as the hell to which you always refer. So, you're leaving the party, huh? We're really going to miss you. Will you again throw your lot with the demoncraps? Where will you find kindred?

The FR thread about Terri have probably brought out some of the worst in amny of us... Lots of folks who frnakly agree on, more than likely everything but may have differences over this topic.... and unfortunatley whet seems to happen is it IMMEDIATELY goes to attack mode.
I was having fun with Chad about who could take the higher road and cracking wise about there being Vegas odds about it and just me being a wise ass in general... :-)
Many found the exchanges amusing while there were others who felt that because I wasn't in a constant state of misery I'm an awful person... I thought a little levity about the constant infighting was a nice little change, but who the hell knows??? :^)

I agree, I got flamed a little by Saundra for it, you'd think I was laying odds on Terri. The hate level in some of these posts over the last few weeks has just gotten out of hand, IMO...
I was on a thread last night about the poor girl who got news her grandfather was in his last moments... Well, she rushed to get down there in her pajamas and slippers and ended up being held by police because of lacking I.D., so she apparently needed to be searched and all this crap and by the time a nurse recognized and told the cops she was ok to pass, her grandfather passed two minutes before she got to the room... The reaction by one poster (who's actually been around for a while) was "Yeah, too bad, my heart bleeds, get over it... meanwhile another woman is being starved to death in there..."
68, I was shocked!!! These are the people with who I share most of my values and viewpoints??? Yikes! So, judging by your screename, can I assume you were in Vietnam? Don't have to respond to that if you don't want to... :)

Some people have gone completely over the edge. If they want to blame the party, the Bush Bro's, us, well, I feel they are welcome to leave. They do nothing but discredit us, anyway.
Hypocrisy rides rampant. You're right in your assumption, and its too bad grandpop couldn't see her just once more.

I don't find anything funny about Terri being starved to death.
For some people, the starvation death of an innocent disabled woman is little more than a political issue. Such people are as dangerous as any dyed-in-the-wool Culture of Death democrat, IMHO.

Well, good, because it wasn't meant to be funny. But hey, let's look at a political cartoon that shows the truth, and try to start an argument over that, too, huh?
Translation from GOP party hack-speak: "Unity is more important than principle."

Thank you.....
You were with my dad, I was born in '68... He was blessed, like you to return and was able be with me until he passed two years ago last week, at only 60..... He turned me on to FR, might end up being one of his best pieces of advise he gave me...... : )
