I'm the guy screaming "Judicial Homicide" who lost his hat.
I've been here since 2000 and have observed many debates, but fundamentally it's always been a Conservative forum. I never imagined the Death "Rule of Law" Cult was so strongly represented on Free Republic. It seems to me that many so-called Conservatives will support the Republicans regardless of how they actually act. There doesn't seem to be any movement to overturn Roe v. Wade, secure our borders, or reign in the judiciary. I'll give the Republicans the benefit of the doubt, but if I don't see some judicial reform by the 2006 elections I'm sitting out. There are plenty of lip service Deathicans to replace me with.

None of the speculation about MS has been proven
What speculation about MS?
I only speak to what I know for sure,
what is it that you know for sure?
and don't join in with additional hysterical/unproven statements
what statements are unproven?

What? She's irreparibly harmed? I thought she could be saved? Am I mistaken on that? You don't think she can be saved?
Well? Which is it? She can be saved, if we act now, or she is 'irreparably harmed'?
Come on, time's a-wastin'... quick...

But you haven't cited me any statute to allow the denial of oral food and hydration. Did the poster respond to you yet? I wanted to see it also. Thanks for asking.

I can't help wondering if the cartoon is illustrating the thread, or if it's the other way around...

I never said she could be saved today or yesterday. Prove me wrong, show me where I did. Maybe she could be but I personally doubt it at this point. Why such a smartass on this? A women is being killed. What kind of person are you?

At least Republicans can have a debate. DUers don't have enough brains.

Cool, nerves are raw. I would take issue with the this is a private affair, which defaults to M.S. Knows best=Terry wants to die. That is why I paraphased your arguement as I did. I don't by any means think that you or others Freepers I have bumped heads with want Terry to die. I do think that sometimes you have to take a stand for princible and life. This seems like an easy case to take that stand.
A beer sounds like a real good idea, wish I could join you.

I guess this really comes down to how you define conservative issues. I'll never forget my shock and dismay when I realized that congress was really trying to insinuate itself into the Schiavo situation, and the horror I felt when I learned that President condoned the action and was willing to sign it. See, in my world, Frist, DeLay, and even the President violated the core of conservativism when they federalized the issue.
Now, I've come to understand the emotional side of the issue a little better, and I forgive the lot of them, but I'll never approve of the steps taken that day, and I pray that they all learned their lesson.

I agree with every single word you wrote, in fact I have been trying to say it as eloquently for the last couple of weeks. Bravo!
I have also been called many of the names in the original cartoon, so when I saw it my first reaction was the first laugh I have ever had over this sad situation. It's true that comedy is best when it's closest to the truth.

That being said, if you personally doubt that she will be saved, then what would the point would there be now to do a CAT Scan, an MRI (if one could even be done) or a PET Scan?

-- Of course, now I'll get to hear about how I'm some hellbound death cultist. That's the level of discourse here lately. You won't hear that from me. That's a very reasonable and rational assessment of all of this.

Stop being so thick! The point is that people like you didn't give a damn that the flimsiest amount of testing was done. It's too late now Chad. Live with it. I'll sleep well.
