After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
No one is worried about typos. 8^)
We must continue to fight whatever happens with Terri. God is sustaining her against all odds. There will be more attempts to kill vulnerable people, this won't be the end.

We never know if we may suffer a tragic accident or health issue. Innocent people should never be put to death.
When all this is resolved we really need to start slamming this biased liberal media...I really have had it, I don't even know where to get news anymore that is fair, Fox has not proven fair, there are only a few I am trusting now...and that is Hannity, Fred Barnes, Scarborough, & Rita Cosby...

Many people don't have anyone to speak for them except someone who wants them to die. The posts that marmema has made contains lots of information about other cases that did wind up in court because someone wanted the person to get care and to live. The chilling thing is that I believe she said in every court case except one, the judges ALWAYS sided with whoever or whatever decreed the person's death. On the one case they didn't, well, I don't know the details, but I did read about all the rest where they ruled for death. It is positively mindboggling what has already become judicial precedent. Morning everyone.
Well, I've started out this day with a prayer. I pray that Terri doesn't suffer and that a way still be found to save her. I also prayed that the hardened hearts be softened and see the miracle that she's still alive, that her obvious will to live is proof that not only is her court ordered death barbaric, but also that she obviously wants to live. There is still time for some to redeem themselves. I pray that they see before it is too late.
I will see all you good people later. Keep fighting the good fight.

It is frustrating though that they can not be made to understand that this was not Terri's wish......
I imagine many of us have prayed much more than is our usual habit. We need to also pray for changing the laws so that this never happens again.
I don't think I could have made it either but determination is a powerful thing.
Precisely my point - and glad to see there are other Freepers who find it difficult to reconcile her prior 1991 history of cardiac arrest (for an eating disorder/electrolyte imbalance) with her present ability to endure starvation and dehydration without a similar collapse.
And let's not forget the two prior occasions when her feeding/hydration tube was removed. I don't believe she went into cardiac arrest then.

pray and lobby for legislation to make things like this illegal...to make it easier to have guardians with conflicts of interest removed, to require written directives or else presume for life, especially in non-terminal cases...
I also think it's strange that Felos and company, as well as the MSM, went to great lengths to tell us that she can't feel pain. Well, if that's the case, why are they pumping her full of MORPHINE?!?!?!?! I haven't seen or heard anyone in the press talking about this inconsistency.

I just thought of something that has probably been self-evident to many on the forum: MRS must cremate Terri, not only to cover up evidence, but to keep the world from seeing her emaciated corpse. Then the lie of a "painless" dehydration and starvation will have been exposed. A person working in the crematorium should photography Terri. He could sell the photo to tabloids and make a fortune, far more than a crematorium would pay him to exterminate bodies.
I wonder what is going to be the buzz in Congress today?
