After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Remember the cry when Diana died and the Queen said NOTHING for days. Even the papers got on her. And she finally came out of hiding. That's how we feel.
Difference here, though, is many want Terri dead right along with the papers and MSM.
I thought that Pryor is trying to curry favor with liberal senators to sweet talk them into confirming him. Won't work!!!!
I Am NOT Proud to be an American today
The Judiciary is out of control. We are caught in the throes of judicial tyranny nationwide, from the town and village courts all the way up to the Supreme Court. The Empire Journal also sponsors the annual Rally to Rein in the Judges, held last year on the steps of the New York State Capitol in Albany. We hope you'll join us this year. Our first focus is George Greer

Terri Schindler's List
It is, indeed, more true than ever, Truth! To God be the glory.
As Jesse Jackson said, "The law must be tempered with mercy to give justice."
I'm positive that you are right. There can be a mass, and there will be. Victims whose body is never recovered have masses said.
Michael has won no victory here.
Do you think that the Schindlers will leave FL now?
Appears the judges had an agenda here...all of them. They corporately murdered this woman, with all the agonies that go with it, to make a point to Congress and the President.
I would think so too.
He can probably sue to get an injunction to stop a mass for Terri, and he will just to spite the Schindlers. He hates them for being Terri's parents, and he may have hated her because she was so unwise as to ask for a divorce in his private presence.
I get gobs of mail from the Republicans wanting donations. I have donated in the past and also sent money to Judge Roy Moore's defense fund. I don't regret sending the money to Judge Moore, however I do regret the other donations.
Next time I get one of their gimmee letters, I think I'll send it back with my message on it...Did you enjoy your dinner while Terri Shiavo was starved. I watched the news, the vigils were broadcast, but I didn't see you there.
The next letter may state "Don't you have something better to do? Our courts are in a real mess, until you've corrected that problem, you're useless and you're job should be completely eliminated.
Yeah? :o) I didn't see it. Which post? I haven't seen a lot since I was answering pings. Evidently, the Holy Spirit has inspired us with the same thing.
Thanks for the well wishes. :o)
I agree. But I think we should DEMAND JUSTICE FOR TERRI, anyway.
You don't know my heart. And you cannot tell Dubya's. It's my opinion that he has done nothing to help Terri except to provide one line at one press conference. That's what I've seen. If you want to believe he's "done all I can do" go right ahead. But I see through the rhetoric.
Doesn't anyone remember 1992? Bush 41 wasn't a conservative at all, but he still would have been better than what we wound up with. Disappointing as the Republicans have been, the Democrats would be a thousand times worse. (I live in a blue state, and I know). It makes much more sense to keep working to push the Republican party to the right than to try to form a third party, and hand victory to the left. Don't forget that W and the Repubs in Congress achieved a ban on partial-birth abortion (it's not their fault the courts overturned it). They need our support---and if right now they are faltering, then they need us even more---we have to stiffen their spines and keep them on the right track. It is folly to write off all the good Jeb and W have done because in this one instance, they dashed our expectations.
WAAAAAY back! :-D I'm too beat to go look right now!!
No, of course not. Neither can he prevent them from placing a memorial display (headstone, whatever) on a plot of land (cemetery or otherwise) that the Schindlers own (although zoning and land use and/or cemetery use restrictions might limit that to some extent). As Terri's legal guardian, Michael Schiavo has--obviously--quite a bit of power. But although he may control Terri and her eventual remains, he absolutely has no control over such things as memorial services and memorial structures.
Those thots have gone through my mind also, and I was encouraged to hear that when she was given communion Sunday night, that she was asked to try to say Jesus, and that she tried to three times.
Now that doesn't say she had accepted Christ as her Saviour when she was younger, but it was a confession of faith in Christ on a very basic level.
I've also prayed that if she hasn't before, that the Lord will still work in her heart, on whatever level her mind is still functioning.
I too have eaten while Terri starved. I am not proud of that. But I have counted 39 meals and many snacks in between. I have thought each and every time I did eat, that we were starving a precious soul in Florida...
The day that Greer closes down the Catholic Church, is the day we will never see.
