After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Thanks. ;-)
So funny you're mentioning that!! I posted that above. Yes, God is absolutely in control...and He gets the glory here, totally. Hope you feel better quickly!
I had heard that he was going to scatter her ashes in PA. No truth to that?
That sounds like something out of a Thomas Hardy or Dickens novel, doesn't it? And to think that many in the nation admire MRS.
They are, but let's not let Terri's death be in vain. There will be many more Terri's in the future.
The point you are missing in this is that many of the "conservatives" we've elected are agreeing with the other side.
IMHO, those Judges were acting because of $$$ or their interpatation of the law. Regardless, in my great state of Texas.... I do find good conservative Judges, and My President, is the one who has stood up for LIFE! I will continue to vote REPUBLICAN... and not all are bad apples.... a few do not spoil the whole batch.
I can't argue with that! ;-)
I think Santorum will be standing alone. I do not see the will to go after George W. Greer (a "Republican just following the law") if there was no will to save Terri.
When? Where? Iraq? Afghanistan?
Terri may soon pass, but her life is not in vain. Neither is the millions of aborted children. I will fight for Terri and for the unborn and the helpless until I have no more Terri Schiavo FIGHT in me..... and God will not forsake me... He has promised...
Thank you. I wasn't trying to sow discord on this thread, I was just hoping someone could reassure me that Terri would be with the Lord.
JFC, again, not bashing you and totally respecting what you're saying...W didn't stand up for life this time. I believe he could have at the very least expressed real outrage. I say this as someone who has respected and loved W...I don't want you to think I hate the President, quite the contrary. But if I feel he has done wrong, and I say nothing, that's just blind devotion (speaking for myself, not casting aspersions on you, I promise).
NO, some of these TX Republican judges are very much on the liberal side -- former Judge Gonzales and former Chief Justice Tom Phillips being among them. We really don't know which of the Republican judges in TX are truly conservative: no groups inform us of that. And there are so many that I cannot recall many of their names.
I have been very harsh concerning Jeb.
I have supported Terri and her family 100%
If they say Jeb let them down, I'll know I was correct. If not, then I will admit that I was wrong.
There is NO way he can block a Mass for Terri.
No way every priest in the country is going to bow down to the judge and HINO.
They don't control anything but Pinellas county, and the politicians, apparently.
They don't control the priests.
Let the rat sue. Nothing should stop a memorial for Terri.
It's odd how the Lord seems to make himself known to people who are in dire situations like Terri's...and after all the prayers going up for Terri, if she was not saved, I'd betcha she is now. Let's pray to that end...she is still with us.
:) Just want you to know, freepertoo, that even tho we disagree on this issue of W and Jeb, that I really appreciate you.
I especially appreciated your repeated reminders last night to us that it is the Lord we need to look to, not man, and that all glory goes to Him.
There's no doubt that that's more true than ever.
When? Where? Iraq? Afghanistan?
Now I see where your heart really has been all along... not just with Terri....
Yes, President Bush stood for LIFE in Iraq and Afgan... He gave a new way of living to those who were under dictatorship...and mass killings. President Bush said to always err on the side of Life.... and that is what he believes. I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT!
