After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
God is on the throne...and he gets the glory here and always...I am SO glad to know who my allegience is to. I no longer know who heads this country, but I know who heads heaven.
I don't believe that this horror would have happened if Pat Buchanan had been elected President in 1992. See his column for today.
GREAT MOVE!
I talked with an attorney friend of mine (helped run his campaign over the summer- he has helped write legislation before- pro-life- BIG TIME) yesterday and today- we are going to get together to prevent it here too.
Also already contacted another friend (Rep. here- also helped his campaign) and he wants to meet also..
I can't help but know that GOD was leading when these relationships were created.....
The buck stops...right there.
Keep your chin up. "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16)
We must prayer for revival in this country.
I am MORE AWARE OF THAT THAN EVER!!!!!!
Be fearful then. It just might get you elected to something.
Okay, I have a question for the Florida 'lawmakers.' An anorexic teenager would rather die than 'be fat.' Are her parents obligated to seek medical care for her or can they just let her starve hersellf to death?
That part is right. We are also the seat of sovereignty.
But this case goes far beyond the courts being wrong. This is a life and death matter in which the Bush brothers are ignoring corruption, despite the very large writing on the wall. I'm not arguing with you here. You make a good point. What I *am* saying is this situation is not one in which we should understand the Bush brothers, but rather one in which we must see that at least Jeb is guilty of a dereliction of duty, and we must see it for the good of the entire country.
Not only is this view now resulting in Terri's torture and death, but it puts all of America at risk from the pro-death, tyrannical Judicial branch.
I saw the showdown between Jeb and the courts coming down the pike MONTHS ago. While the various courts were ruling in favor of gay marriage, I saw that if Jeb stood up to the courts in Terri's case, that would have a positive impact on judicial activism at large.
The judiciary is pro death, pro gay marriage, and did you know about the Eminent Domain case that's before the SCOTUS? There is a possibility that contrary to the vision of the Founding Fathers, the judicial branch might end up taking away three of our main rights, namely, life, liberty, and property. And Jeb Bush made his contribution towards the strengthening of an emerging judicial oligarchy, and the weakening of the executive branch.
I don't attack the Bushes, because I think they think they are doing the only thing they have ever known to be correct. I do say they have the wrong view, because of just what you wrote. It is beyond tragic and infuriating.
I see your point, and I won't argue with it. But the way I see it is not that I am attacking the Bushes, but rather pointing out how large a scope of issues, and US/State government, is going to be negatively impacted from the fallout of their inaction - in addition to Terri's suffering an outrageous injustice because they turned their backs. I am assessing the outcome of their refusal to defend the Constitution, based on what they did, and not upon what they think.
Poor the rest of us; any of us are next. If you have a directive and think not, think again. It can very well not be adhered to, for reasons you can't anticipate.
A friend from FL visited recently, and she insisted that she has a living will, and a medical surrogate, and she has everything covered. Moreover, she would never want to "live like that." I said that she didn't know what would happen to her in the future, what decisions would have to be made, or what she would feel then. Regarding a feeding tube, I finally looked her dead in the eye and said to her about three times: "As a friend, I'm telling you that you don't want to die that way."
She had a stunned look on her face, and couldn't respond. I knew I gave her food for thought. And the whole point is that it's now incumbent upon US to cover ourselves, not knowing the future. Very scary.
OHhhhhhhhhhh good question!!!!!send that one to Sean!
You know what my deskmate just said to me? "At least Jack Kevorkian did it fast."
She's right.
What have we become? Place your bets on when Kevorkian will be pardoned and praised. Not by W...I'd never project that, never. But one day by another leader. Mark me.
Trust in the Lord....pray for godly leaders who lead.
We can only do what we are able; and we must each do our part...educating, voting, campaigning, questioning, letter-writing, whatever each can do. No matter how little our part seems.
The inkling has been there for awhile with me....but, now it's crystal clear. Revival is needed, desparately.
We won't ever forget those who waited and waited to see if someone, anyone, else would help Terri.
We'll never forget.
Every knee, including Greer, Michael, FELOS, et all, will bow and acknowledge Jesus as LORD and KING!!!!!!!
Fire and brimstone revival.
I want to see satan's knee bow.
These judges just told the other two branches of government that they are in charge and to demonstrate, they will uphold the order to murder an innocent American. I wonder how ape this guy would get if he got scolded back by one of the other 'equal' branches?
Mel is on with Sean now!
The Lord Judge Almighty has spoken.
