After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Nonsense...that attitude is fer Losers and/or quitters...we ain't even begun to fight!!
"The executive and legislative branches have the duty and the responsibility to check the judicial branch."
Yep...and they will do so when WeThePeople insist upon it...
"Both Bush's along with the US legislature have already shown us that they are incapable of doing so."
Balderdash...this has been one battle in the overall war...I'm as sad as anyone that our failure as a Nation has cost Terri her life, but this Culture War is ongoing and Dubyuh and Congress will ultimately have the final word.
"We the people can't get anything done of our elected officials are too cowardly to do their freak'n jobs."
Well, if that turns out to be the case, work to replace those who prove inferior.
MUD
BTW..."Shake the fog from your eyes sheople! Our country is swirling down the sewer!"
SHEEEESH, you need a serious attitude adjustment!!
There has been some dispute about that and a recent discussion on FR. The last vote was 18 to 21. Two changed votes would make it 20 to 19. I remember thinking at the time if only TWO people had switched their vote.....
Valleygirl, am I understanding you correctly: if the judges rule, say, this afternoon, that they'll hear the appeal, then the tubes would be reinserted immediately while the judges are evaluating the underlying issue?
Gibbs is saying this crap?
No, Gibbs filed this with Jay Sekulow together! This family attorney is obviously not that involved and doesn't know what the heck he is talking about!
I am wondering if the 11th DID take this up and reinsert the tube or gave her hydration, then ruled against her later, would she have to go through this again?
No not Gibbs! Some other dude!
"Valleygirl, am I understanding you correctly: if the judges rule, say, this afternoon, that they'll hear the appeal, then the tubes would be reinserted immediately while the judges are evaluating the underlying issue?"
This would be true
Everything is good BG!
We are in one accord with each other in prayer!
We have been singing and praying.
TheSchindlers are before the 11th Court of Appeals
Jay Sekulow helped with the appeal.
Come join us! I learned how to post hymns! Thanks to you! ;-)
Doesn't matter. We fight one fight at a time. The longer she stays alive the longer we have to convince people they are wrong about this. Just pray that they DO reinsert the tube.
YEp, that is what sucks! however, i hope that in the mean time we could get the Florida Senate to do something and finally pass the legislation that would save her.
Who the heck was that guy?? Even Linda V. seemed surprised. The guy just on was pretty disgusted and said so. What is going on??
I am going offline again....I will be, as I have been, in prayer with all of you.
I couldn't agree more...I really cannot believe the situation has gotten this far...I just figgered somehow Terri's life would be saved, and Michael would turn over custody to Terri's parents. But the Pro-Death crowd has been bound and determined to see this young lady murdered...and it looks like they are winning this battle!!
FReegards...MUD
That's what I understand. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.
I have no idea, said he was some family lawyer of the Schindlers! He may be some lawyer that did some work for them before, but no association with Gibbs.
It just LOOKS like they're winning the battle...the battle is the Lord's.
De Nada. FV just said FL legislature is working on something. I have no idea anymore. I just keep praying.
"Who the heck was that guy?? Even Linda V. seemed surprised. The guy just on was pretty disgusted and said so. What is going on??"
I think his name is Destry, he works with Gibbs. He is saying that everyone keeps giving the Schindlers hope...and he thinks that the Courts have already spoken. I think he is jealous of Sekulow or something. But some are saying that it isn't good that this decision is taking so long.
God Bless you, Dear FRiend!
We gotta stick together...s Freeping and praying FRiends!;-)
