After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Yesterday, I posted that Rush's "rule of law" comments were cold, and it struck me that he warmend up considerably today - so I wondered the same thing.
Yeah! And come to think of it, I noticed the Roe v. Wade remark!
Why are people coming to help Terri so late??????????????
I think I read an explanation by cripplecreek that is what I thought was with some people. That some people didn't want to pay attention, or that on the surface it appeared to be a suffering woman who needed to be 'let go'. As Terri fights, she's fighting not only for herself, but for all of us. People are realizing this is a person being starved and dehydrated and not a 'vegetable'. Some people are just beginning to wake up to the reality that in the United States of America, we are starving and dehydrated a fellow human being to death.
Then of course there are the ones who will oppose anything if a republican or pro-lifer happens to support. And, of course, we have our own group that would let her die so long as the "law" is followed. One bizarre explanation is that the people protesting at the hospice are ruining the pro-life movement, yet they go on the attack for just about any support of Terri, not just criticizing the protest attendees. Imagine that, supporting the death of a person so that you can call yourself pro-life.
But then again, I must be a DU moonbat so what do I know?
If they are going to hold a hearing they need to get her hydrateed now! Before the hearing!
Ok, detour from signing off for the night. Nothing but commercials.
Breaking --- parents back to court to restore feeding tube... 11th to hear it... new petition... 11th granted the parents the right to file another...
Petition for re-hearing for injunction re feeding tube.
I've had to leave my computer tonight and help my daughter with a report due for school tomorrow. Guess even two hours away from the 'puter and I lose what is happening. I am going to have to go on to bed now. I will go with a prayer in my heart that our Savior will sustain Terri and continue feeding her from heaven. I pray that the legislature will be able to resolve and pass the bill tomorrow. I pray that both President Bush and Jeb Bush will seek God's council. I pray that our Land will turn from our wicked ways and repent and seek the Lord.
Until then, My heart will go on singing, good nite all
Polly
Thank you, my brother just said it was in the article I forwarded to him today, I just missed it somehow.
Ok, this is for an injunction to put the feeding tube back in...it is great that they allowed them to do it, now we just need them to make a good enough case...PRAY BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!
Petition for re-hearing for injunction re feeding tube granted.
The Schindlers are going to file another Federal Appeal. A new angle has been forthcoming from Jay Sekulow, formerly of Judicial Watch. Sekulow has a DC law firm.
yes, en banc (all 12)
when will it be heard? tonight???
Is this new? I thought I read somewhere that the one earlier today helped by Jay Sekulow was denied? Is this different?
now??? or tomorrow??
Ah ha! CNN - 11th reconsidering hino's lie about pvs and maybe she's minimally concious.
PRAYING BIG TIME! YES! My kids are in need of a mom...I'll be back.
Phil,
Now that is one of your better ones. I especially like the text. I dont' feel the same way but I dont' begrudge others who do share your sentiment.
Keep in mind that I may have read something different or completely erroneous.
I believe the Federal appeals court just accepted it. That's all that was said.
To get this approved they need new and convincing evidence, they cannot just rephrase what has already been appealed. I wonder what made them decide to do this? I am hoping they have something we don't know about and that it is convicing! LORD PLEASE HELP US TO GET A VICTORY THIS TIME AND FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
