After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Well of course she didn't raise her arm, she not only isn't brain dead but doesn't have a brain anymore. Yes, I heard someone say that the other day on tv. Terri simply doesn't have a brain! Whatever lets them rationalize their stance. There's no reasoning with some.
Bump, stupidest think I have ever heard in my life. She will need an IV, but a drink of water can't hurt. Personally I'd want a beer.
A guest at my mother's house over Easter said, "So what if she said "I waaaaaa" when they told her to say she wants to live? That was just random gutteral noise."
My coffee literally hit the ceiling when I slammed my coffee cup on the table.
Colmes is Fox's token "fair and balanced".
development; vote tomorrow!
Is this real??? :oO
They know that'll drag it out for another day afterward.
A word of caution: We have been let down by politicians, courts, and legislatures time and again. Keep your eyes on Jesus and off these people (although, do pray about the vote). This is in the Lord's court...keep your eyes on him, not on the people who have continually let us down. That is to say, PRAY hard that the legislatures will do the right thing, but don't pin your hopes on them...pin them on the Lord. He will get the glory in this.
It is a shame about the autopsy. What Terri needed and what Greer denied over and over and over again was a Functional MRI and a PET scan. These are done to see what is happening inside an "alive" brain. I will never accept an autopsy that shows she was PVS. I don't think an autopsy would have much value to prove PVS. It is her "live" brain that should be tested.
Actually I believe even if she IS PVS she still deserves to live. Food and water are not extraordinary medicine, but ordinary care and should be provided to everyone unless there is a living will stating their wishes otherwis. To me PVS is a non starter as a reason someone is deemed not worthy of living. When we do that we are evalution people's right to life based on their quality of life, and that is Euthanasia.
great. No one would possibly vote death no one. Hang in there Terri.
Weapons of Mass Destruction have been found. It's called WATER.
Did you see the younger one was wearing a t-shirt that Sean made sure to ask about?
It was printed with something like "International Communist Youth".
Can I be Abigail Adams, please?
Listening to Savage on the radio now.
I'll believe anything at this point....
I'm agreeing with Jesse Jackson
Long time freepers, that I always admired, are on a thread for the sole purpose of dissing the Schindlers
State judges can spit on congressional subpoenas
Fed. Judges can ignore the law
And my country is allowing the starvation of an innocent, disabled woman
Down is up and up is down
My eyes and soul have been awaken.....How can anyone approve of a handicap woman being starved with no food and water while making her parents who want to take her home and care for her, watch helplessly while their daugher is put to death. Not only am I having a difficult time accepting this happening in our Country but some of the postings from some people......Well I guess it explains why this is happening in our Country. I also can not accept, maybe because I am not a useful idiot, how we can tell the UN to bug off, liberate millions and yet we can't save one woman from a backward judge. Sorry, I do not care how you slice it, it just does not compute.....
That's all its has been about for the last 10 days is dragging feet as long as possible in hopes it'll become moot.
Yes... you can be Abigail... :-) Good choice, btw.
