After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Yes, she recieve Communion on Easter.
I'm so glad Jesse entered this battle.
He just might wake up a lot of others.
He video taped it too
This is absolutely bi-partisan. Right now Bill Press on Crossfire is slamming Jesse Jackson, 9 stubborn senators in Florida are holding firm to their "non" votes, Jesse jackson has more influence in the Florida senate than the state's governor. Jeb's in hiding after appearing to agree with the religious right and the religious right is standing next to Terri, her family and Jesse Jackson. It's bizarre and surreal and it's good vs evil... not partisan at all.
Thanks for the info. Was that consecrated wine? Do you know who administered it to her? Was it her spiritual director, or someone else?
sorry you guys feel that way... there is still plenty of prayer and fellowship and brainstorming going on.. but people are angry about the powers that be not taking concrete action. If you love the Bushes more than anything else.. if they are superhuman and can do no wrong in your eyes, and you can't take criticism of them, then perhaps you should be somewhere else.
Here's Nat Hentoff's column from yesterday, from the Wash. Times:
Terri's tragedy

I've been trying to pray for greer, felos, and michael.. last time I did it on here I got bashed by a troll..
You're right to pray for them...if Jesus could pray for His tormentors, we are instructed to do the same. After all, we're not praying for their success, but that the Lord will save them because...it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Don't worry about the trolls...you did right.
I seem to remember reading the hospice chaplain and her spiritual director were both there, along with some of her family members (sister?)...
Thou Knowest Lord the secrets of our hearts;
Shut not, shut not thy Merciful Ears unto our prayers;
But spare us Lord, spare us Lord, Most Holy,
Oh God, Oh God most Mighty;
Oh Holy God, most Merciful Saviour,
Thou most Worthy Judge Eternal;
Suffer us not, suffer us not,
At our last hour, for any pains of death,
For any pains of death,
For any pains of death...
To Fall From Thee... Amen

last night SvdByFaith shared that her husband was in a car accident yesterday. He was not hurt but the other car, with a pregnant woman and three children was totaled. They were in the hospital and they wouldn't let them know thei conditions. I've been praying for them.
Yes, communion wine. I think it was Msg. Malinowski (sp?) who administered it, but I did hear the the hospice chaplain kept his hand on the Msg.'s hands the whole time, for whatever reason.
She received a drop of consecrated wine from her Priest, Msg. Malanowski. Her mouth was too dry to receive the host. This is all she gets. No more communion. No Priest by her side to pray the rosary. IMO, she's being denied her religious rights.
Where can I find a clip of this video online?
HIPAA. Get used to it. You asked for it. Didn't you?
I don't know about the wine, but a Priest did give it to her. Not Terri's Priest tho. He was a Priest that the hospice uses.
She's being denied her religious rights, and her inalienable right to life.
What an outrage.
Lord we pray for the health and safety of those who were in the accident, and we pray you will ease minds, hearts, and fears. Lord, we thank you for the opportunity to come before you in this situation...car accidents are terribly frightening things. Be with all concerned and we thank you Lord, in Jesus name.
