After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
I don't know if you watched the debate in the House before they voted last Sunday night, but after all the diatribe from the left, the House passed the bill to save Terri's life by a large majority
In that debate, the question was asked, what if a judge DOESN'T order the tube reinserted? The consensus was that any judge would surely recognize this new Law and immediately have Terri's tube reinserted. You can bet your boots that many of our legislatures' eyes were opened to how tyrannical our system has become when this Bill, signed into Law in the middle of the night by a President who had flown from Texas to do so, was ignored by a judge until 3:00 the next day, and then denied 16 hours later.
What if Judge Whittmore had acted as expected by our legislatures? Congress and President Bush would now be the heroes of the day.
But because of the tyrannical actions of Judge Whittmore, and the 11th Circuit Court, we are now blaming President Bush and Governor Bush, rather than these out-of-control judges.
The good of the GOP is that now, with their eyes wide open, they realize even more how important it is to make sure that President Bush's appointed judges get an up or down vote.
They need our support now more than ever, if a culture of life is to prevail.
I think you may be a troll. You sure are acting like an agent provocateur. But alot of people are.
Women are murdered by abusive husbands daily. Since when was there concern about their lack of protection by the courts. This is anothere example but it is not new. What is new is the use of the courts but MS condemned his wife years ago, before either Bush was in office. And so you turn on the Bushes, the decent people. I can only assume you are from the DNC complete with talking points.
I believe that was extreemly rude. I will not respond to you again.
Amen, Soul Seeker. I join you in thanking them for standing up for life. And I pray that they will now, armed with the knowledge of the corruption in our courts AND our support, work to correct that.
Hi, that was rude, welcome to FR, everyone should worry and not just for there children. This is horrible.
I sure hope that you don't think I'm a "ninny" for being concerned about the judiciary's new found authority to kill the handicapped. I have a Down Syndrome son and this is bothering me too. I've been around and know the score pretty well. My eyes are open to what I'm witnessing.
In any event, it isn't easy raising one handicapped child, much less two.
A bit of empathy might not be out of place here.
I don't get it. You are weeping with irrational fear, not taking your ill children to the doctor. What do you expect of a reasonable person?
TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THE DOCTOR IF THEY ARE SICK.
You are not obliged to answer me. I don't give a flip if you do. But mothers are supposed to be lions in defense and protection of their children, not weeping hand wringing helpless people.
If I am rude, you are being negligent by your own admission.
Be with our beloved Terri in this hour ... sustain her this night, O God, for the Merchants of Death would love to snatch her away on this most Holy Day. Spare her parents this additional agony, for their suffering is beyond imagination. Comfort Terri's family with the knowledge that she will neither hunger nor thirst in the Presence of the Living God. We continue to stand watch, O God, for we love her so. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ...
You have mail
I know you meant well, but there had to be a kinder way to say that. Slapping someone doesn't always help...though I know it does in the movies. It would just make me hit you back...reflexes you know.
(I now you can't see me, but I am smiling) :)
Let me say, if you don't agree with a persons opinion, leave them alone. We're supposed to be a board of adults.
WHAT has happened to FR?!
This can seem insane at times and it is beyond our ability to understand but we are still supposed to obey. God not only "is in control" but also "in charge"...:-)

I'm in awe.. of how He manages to work all things together for good. This situation with Terri is heartbreaking I've lost it a number of times just reading the injustice and the abuse, just tears me up, like it's happening to me. At the same time that Satan looks to devour his next sacrifice God moves in ways we never see and can't comprehend. I thank God that he brought this about so that I would see this Evil thing that threatens us all. Blessed is Poor Terri who has been mightly used by GOD. How strong God made her through her years of abuse I wish I had half Terri's strength..
She did not say her children were autistic. Look at her post. She said she was "afraid" to go to the doctor, afraid to get them help and asked should she hide them.
And I may be rude, but I have no, no patience for a woman with sick children who is weeping and posting on the internet about not getting a "diagnosis" or treatment for them. Children need mothers who act like grown up women.
She is not taking her children to the doctor out of irrational fear. And I am rude. Too bad. I don't have much empathy for people who deny their children medical care out of their "fear".
Thanks. I would be remiss in my duty as a mother if I did not worry about the ramifications of what is going on here to my children.
To those that would criticize me..........do YOU know how I raise my children? Do YOU know what therapies they recieve? And since when is autism an illness? It is not a disease. FYI my children are at this very moment involved in a little known buut very effective therapy.
(sorry for the rant mama bear syndrome you know)
Oh, I thought, silly me, you were here to bash the Bushes.
I think the only way the GOP can recover on this one is to agree across the board on tightening the restrictions WAY up on cases like this. Nobody forgoes food or drink or its equivalent who has not sworn on oath while competent their wish.
If it takes state constitutional amendments in some states, then those local GOPs should press for that.
