Just announced:
Just announced on FOX. 6 p.m. They have given Terri the Sacrament of Communion. News reporter is saying that this is the first request that has been granted. True. However, I recall that Judge Greer said he would permit it, when death was imminent. So, I am concerned we might get some additional news. Pray for Terri's soul to be blessed and held in God's loving hands.
* So much for MS bing the Anti Christ*
NO,,this was strictly a method of gaining positive points for that pondscum louse of a spouse.
OMG please think before you speak about vegetables not needing morphine.
You sound so ignorant in so many ways I feel bad for you.
You people act like Judges/Michael and all of the people you have demonized (BTW: in a family matter that is none of your business) have said, she is a carrot or something.
Your human being/vegetable analogy is so sad.
YEAH start a new rumor that Michael said she was a head of lettuce! Dear God, THINK before you speak!
The bleeding story was untrue.
People die every day in this manner.
I feel badly for this family feud being played out in public and having ignorant people like you and Jesse Jackson talk like they know what they are talking about.
Well that's certainly constructive.
Just checking in while I'm cleaning. I think this is her final hour indeed.
I would hazard to say that no one here has executed a helpless innocent person to death by starvation or hydration ever.So yes we can and must stand in judgement of this horrible act.
And those who condone it should be judged also.
What I would prefer to see is something in writing that Terri said she wanted to die rather than live brain damaged.
It's for the staff..
It's stunning they would allow communion -- something that will allow her an extra 75 to 80 minutes.
Do serial killers milk the death of their victims once they know they can't escape? One motive we know it's not, and that's compassion.
Anyone who would kill a person in front of their parents by starvation -- and not allow the mother to put ice against the broken dried lips of their child, isn't compassionate.
Another thing we have learned, is how dems are going to solve the social security "problem". They've told us there's no real problem, and there's not --not if those who need helped are greered -- when the boomers are in a hospital somewhere, they'll let us die "naturally" by refusing to allow us to eat or drink. Before the libs are through with us we'll be begging for the shot to put us out of our misery. Then they'll say it was our choice.
If she is a vegetable, why does she need anything?
From what I have read in my small participation in this great debate of our time, those who say this are those logically bound to argue that all human activity is the result of reflex. This is because man (by this view) is just a machine, a bundle of nerve, muscle, and bone - A wind-up toy. He is not a unique and special being created for the purose of glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.
In fact, I'd have Hastert issue an arrest warrant for him tomorrow if Greer doesn't excuse Terri for her Senate hearing.
But it look like the state of Florida is going to kill her tonight.
No, Joe. It's in his testimony.
There never was a "PR" battle. He has remained pretty quiet about this. It is her family who has dragged her in front of the cameras for the sympathy vote.
The administration of morphine to ease breathing.
Has Michael promised to give any of the insurance money to Judge Greer?
According to court documents: No.
I would not wish death on Michael Schiavo. I don't like him but God will judge in the end.
I think so, too.
This is a very important question.
I'm sure that a probate judge could order the tube removed under certain circumstances, per Florida law. (Now, that the people of Florida or anywhere else think the involvement of courts in these matters is a good idea, well, I have rocks in my yard that are smarter than that).
However, I'm not sure that Florida law permits a court order forbidding feeding. If the Florida law really permits this, I'd like to see the cite.
And this will be a hugely important precedent.
Those who wanted the Florida executive branch to do something should look here, IMO.
Could a judge order her shot? Could a judge order a lethal injection?
If not, how can a judge order nothing by mouth?
