Michael Schiavo Plans to Cremate Terri
Michael Schiavo has taken steps that will prevent investigators from examining Terri Schiavo's body for evidence of abuse after she dies a suspicion her family has repeatedly raised as her death grows more imminent.
Schiavo's attorney George Felos told the Washington Post on Friday that Terri will be cremated and buried in a plot owned by Michael's family in Pennsylvania.
Terri's parents had filed a request with the court to block the cremation plans, saying it would violate the religious beliefs of their daughter, who was a practicing a Catholic.
But as with every other motion filed in the case on behalf of Bob and Mary Schindler, the Florida courts have rejected the request.
A 1991 bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo showed unexplained injuries to her vertebrae and legs.
Terri's brother, Bobby Schindler, told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" on Thursday that a doctor has testified that she might have been strangled before she was found unconscious in her home in February 1990.
"I'm talking about the dozens and dozens of broken bones. An autopsy would reveal that."
And if the WERE there, the bone scans and xray's ALREADY taken would show them. What? they haven'T shown any evidence of this. HMMMM...
I doubt it. The Jews were still Jews in the New Testament, not like today where everything is so watered down.
Your links. The one about Felos,Greer and cohorts changing the law to suit one case, Terri's. Isn't that the same thing they accused Jeb Bush of doing ?
I won't be used as a sap
I know the Schindler's are such monsters and religious nuts. How dare they love their daughter.(/sarcasm)
This was investigated by local police, state police and independent investigators, with NO findings of wrong doing.
I'm pretty sure the medical examiner has to sign off on a cremation. Usually pro forma on an attended death, but a hard-nosed medical examiner could do x-rays and chemical tests before releasing her body.
I don't know why Michael is choosing to cremate her, but I think those who think an autopsy would lead to criminal charges against Michael are engaged in some industrial-strength wishful thinking.
If this is a serious question, here is serious answer. There is adequate evidence that Terri may have been abused, and that this is the end of a 15 year coverup into how she actually got into the state that she is currently in. Enough evidence to stop this starvation long enough for a serious investigation.
There is also evidence that Terri is NOT in a persistent vegitative state, but that her condition has been falsified.
I suspect the schindlers don't want to be in the presence of the Sciavos. A separate memorial service is probably what most people would want. If I were they, I couldn't be in the same room.
oh please.
I don't know your stance on this subject, so I will calmly ask you,
Do you really think the Shindlers would use the occasion of their daughters burial as a time and place for a "bar fight"? If so, you haven't been paying enough attention to them---they are kind and gentle, and loving people--
A A doctor, none of the others agree with him either.
The ones Michael works for now? The ones his family worked for?
Married or not, I have some questions:
Was she intending divorce prior to her accident?
Did she confront Michael with divorce when she happened to have an accident?
Why did she have several bruises prior to her accident?
Does the bone scan evidence mean anything?
Exactly when did Michael decide she would be cremated?
I have a right to "my personal opinion."
They need to have one, even so...because the memorial is important to the grieving process...and this has been so rough, they will need every iota of help to get through it all.
it is not
"Hmm.. last I knew, euthanasia was still illegal"
And your point is"?
