Michael Schiavo Plans to Cremate Terri

Michael Schiavo has taken steps that will prevent investigators from examining Terri Schiavo's body for evidence of abuse after she dies – a suspicion her family has repeatedly raised as her death grows more imminent.

Schiavo's attorney George Felos told the Washington Post on Friday that Terri will be cremated and buried in a plot owned by Michael's family in Pennsylvania.

Terri's parents had filed a request with the court to block the cremation plans, saying it would violate the religious beliefs of their daughter, who was a practicing a Catholic.

But as with every other motion filed in the case on behalf of Bob and Mary Schindler, the Florida courts have rejected the request.

A 1991 bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo showed unexplained injuries to her vertebrae and legs.

Terri's brother, Bobby Schindler, told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" on Thursday that a doctor has testified that she might have been strangled before she was found unconscious in her home in February 1990.

The local coroner can demand an autopsy.

People who are executed by the State always get an autopsy.

and as any thinking criminal murder would try to do - try and destroy/elininate any evidence of the murder so as to get away.

Howbeit now he got the evil Judge Greer and that evil lawyer (a double oxymoron?) on his side.

As someone recently remarked: if Michael should die SUDDENLY then the parents can swoop in and save Terri!!

Mr. Felos and Mr. Schiavo have ordered the evidence destroyed.

Terri will be immediately cremated. I am certain Felos has a black van idling near his "hospice," so that she can be wisked away before the death is announced, and before any supoena from the state can be served for autopsy (I pray that Jeb has some testicles in this area).

And for extra malicious spite, her ashes will be placed in Pennsylvania, 1100 miles from her real family.

I'm talking about the dozens and dozens of broken bones. An autopsy would reveal that.

on Thursday that a doctor has testified that she might have been strangled before she was found unconscious in her home in February 1990.

As a respiration therapist MS would know how to stop blood flow to the brain without leaving many marks.

Thanks for the information. While I haven't decided for certain, I think I'd prefer cremation. I don't think people will line up to visit my gravesite and I want to be the least burden on my family as possible.

At some point, you'd think the Schindlers could sue the state for botching the entire mess, wrongful death, conspiracy to murder, etc.. That might get the Fla. legislature's attention.

Shouldn't ny crime of abuse have been investagated 15 years ago? There are statute of limitations on such crimes aren't there? That's if any were commited.

Catholics have an objection to cremation?

Not at all.

My mother-in-law had her hubby cremated, keeps his ashes on the mantle and when she needs a sounding board.....she yells at his ashes!

It's really too funny....
