Islamic teachers suspended for praising essay on killing Jews

Two teachers at an Islamic school in Canada who praised a pupil's essay about killing Jews with hand grenades and machine guns have been suspended for allegedly inciting racial hatred.
The pupil, who has not been identified, illustrated his creative writing assignment, which was written in Arabic, by drawing a picture of a Star of David in flames next to a machine gun. He also drew a Palestinian flag on top of the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem, one of Islam's holiest sites. Claims that the essay was put on display in a glass case at the entrance of the school, in Ottawa, are being investigated.
The boy's story told of a fictitious "hero", Ahmed Yassin, born in Gaza two weeks after Israel assassinated Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, a co-founder of the terrorist organisation, Hamas. One passage describes how, watched by a friend called Salah, Ahmed attacks Jewish soldiers with a gun and bombs.
"Without thinking, Ahmed took his M16 machine gun and threw the bombs, and he showered the Jews; this resulted in the killing of the soldiers," the story reads. "Salah said: 'You killed them all.' Ahmed answered: 'Praise be to God'."
At the end of the story, the boy's fictitious heroes say: "We promise God and the heroes of Al-Aqsa that we will continue the path, we will continue in spite of the difficulties and the hardships until the victory of the martyrdom, we will not surrender; we will fight for the sake of God until the end."
The essay drew praise from one of the teachers of Arabic at the Abraar Islamic School, who wrote on the story: "God bless you, your efforts are good. The story of the hero Ahmed and the hero Salah is still alive. The end will be soon when God unites us all in Jerusalem to pray there." The teacher's name has not been released.
It is unclear how long the story was on display before it was brought to the attention of The Ottawa Citizen newspaper, which obtained two translations of the story before confronting the school. The headmistress, Aisha Sherazi, who is originally from Wimbledon, in south-west London, said that the school was "extremely shocked, disturbed and concerned" about the boy's story.
Canada has 580,000 Muslims among its 29.6 million population. The Canadian Jewish Congress has condemned the incident and the essay is under investigation by Ontario education officials.
Miss Sherazi, 32, said that the story had been entered for a creative writing competition at the school. "The students were allowed to pick a topic of their choosing as part of our programme to enhance literacy in our school. It is against the policy of the school in terms of what we are trying to teach here, it contradicts it completely and is very, very disturbing."
The Abraar Islamic School, which does not receive state funding, teaches 260 children from reception classes to the age of 13. It was established in 2000 and follows the Canadian curriculum with the exception of its Arabic classes, in which the anti-Jewish story was written.
The school, which is the equivalent of a private prep school in Britain, has not been inspected by government officials, who inspect only private secondary schools.

On display for some period of time, yet the Headmistress was 'extemely shocked, disturbed and concerned'? Hint to Ms. Sherazi, when you lie, you have to have some fabric of truth in the lie, for the lie to work. Simply making a bold-faced statement that is demonstratably false makes for a poor liar. We watch it coming like deer in the headlights...no, worse. Because deer don't knwo what to do, but we (our government officials) are too PC to do what they know will save our lives. And WE are too scared to go against their authority.

The Canadians (assuming they care) have got to understand the threat that radical Islam (redundant) poses in our hemisphere!!!
FWIW, there are Islamic schools all over the U.S. as well. Many more than Canada.

When children are taught that they should kill other people, and it's drilled in over and over again, nobody should be suprised when they actually start killing people!

Pure Islamic fantasy... no muslim could ever take up a weapon against a soldier or man in combat, they'd have to cowardly bomb or attack women and children.
Did ya'll notice that the teachers were just "SUSPENDED" and NOT Fired as they should have been! They're simply waiting for this controversy to die down before REINSTATING the despicable teachers who allowed this type of hate to propagate.
You got it. I went to a school this size and all the parents knew all the teachers quite well. The principal knew what was going on in all the classrooms and was
ultimately responsible for the activities in his school.
Were they suspended with pay?
How long is the suspension?
What action will be taken against the student for his "very, very disturbing" essay?
