After Defeats Schiavo Parents Tell Supporters Go Home
AP - Yahoo ^ | March 26, 2005 | Jane Sutton

Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.

"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.

It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

"Boy know that is some good logic!"

If you are looking for logic you are on the wrong thread.

I don't know why you are directing these falsities at me, but I never said - not once, ever - that " it is okay and fine that they do that to Terri." nor have ai ever said "it is a peaceful and kind thing that they are doing"...

However, I have said, and I will maintain before you, and before God, that to wish inhuman suffering upon another person is wrong, yes.

Do you have a problem with that? If so, I suggest you seek out your minister for a little counseling session, so you can once again get right with God.

Wow.

Stepped on your last nerve of the day?

How long has it been since you've had nurishment?

If you haven't had dinner take break.

People get cranky when they haven't eaten.

Gives them headaches.

Potty mouth. Not nice.

It's good to meet you, Ms Casey's daughter. I hope you don't take what I said above as a mean-spirited attack, as it wasn't meant that way at all. K?

I have said I pray that The LORDS justice will reign down upon him in this lifetime and I pray that The Lord will hear our tears for that poor woman and her family, and that he will be rewarded for what he has done here and later.

No, not quite. You said:I hope when he does die it is the same way he had Terri murdered.

Maybe it would be better to actually pray for him, and pray that he gets right with God and repents before the end, but there I go with the crazy talk again ;0)

Shortbread!!

Shortbread is in a class all by itself!

Did not they teach you that while you were in school?

Cookies are icky!

Oh, you are gracious!

Thought it up, all by myself. And didn't even have to use the colouring book, nor magic markers.

But that Elmer's glue sure tasted good!

I want more than a Gold Star.

I want to have Terri out of the Hospice and eating and drinking, and being loved, and not murdered, and 'not-not'murdered, (got to have it put that way for people who cannot decide what murder is, you know - it's so for them), and safe from people who don't have a problem with people executing people.

But it may not happen that way.

Because of a lot of people who don't stand for anything.

And a Gold Star from them is just a little itty piece of tinfoil, not worth much.

Kind of like all those 'self-esteem' trophies that adult give all the kids in the class. And the teachers can't figure out why the kids didn't value the trophies.

Such silly teachers.

Do not be bullied into thinking that the Nazi analogy is false, it might be then again it might not be. We are just now testing state sponsored murder of handicapped people. Maybe it will end with Terry, maybe not. But what we do know for sure is that as another poster pointed out. We (lawyer/political class) have become so enamored of the process we have lost site of the end result. That is very very bad. Until we begin to hold the process accountable for the end result we are adrift without a moral compass.

And to them, murder won't be murder.

And stolen property will be property 'given' to the state by 'loyal citizens' who decided 'they don't need it.'

And there will, of course, never be any attacks against 'those' people. 'Those' people will just be lying to make 'us' look bad, because well...they' just 'not right.'

Chad,

Question:

What's your 'non-white' status got to do with anything?

Bringing race into a discussion is usually done by someone who cannot handle the facts of the discussion as a distraction tactic.

I thought you believed you were holding your own....

Find myself wanting in the eyes of God.

Most excellent.

Because that's the first step in accepting Christ Jesus as the Lord and Savior.

Please, don't hold your breath.

I'm concerned with Terri as it is.

Though you are safe and sound in your residence, typing, maybe drinking coffee or soda, and had munchies this evening, I would not want harm to come to you.

I only brought it up to explain why I had an interest in what led to the rise of the Third Reich, so I could know when or if it was happening here. No distractions were attempted. Unless you want to devote more posts to it, that it. However, it's mention was pretty innocuous.

It did in a way sound like an attack and I am glad you let me know it was not intended to be one. I appreciate that. I usually put MCD down at the bottom of my post but I have been so upset about this Terri thing that I have been forgetting and my mom reminded me of it today.

I have followed this case for a few years now. I have read court documents, affidavits, and several other documents.

My grandmother was a probate attorney, she and a judge in Ca . wrote the first Legal Secretary handbook ever.

I studied to become a paralegal. Many said I should have been an attorney but I have always said I would more than likely end up in jail for contempt of court because some of these judges are so unjust and morons. What they have done is murder. And they are attempting to make it a nice peaceful thing.

If it is so peaceful then why should they not have the same peaceful way of going when it is their time to go.

Or does it frighten you that one day we will all go. Some quicker and easier than others. Some sooner than later. I had a friend died at nine years old. My cousin was shot in the head by her husband when she was nineteen. Someone else I knew very well was murdered when I was sixteen. My other cousin died from melanoma when he was nineteen.

I do really pray that the Lord will take care of him. This has hurt my heart and if it were my daughter he would not have been around this long. Maybe that is cruel to you, but I would not allow someone to do to my daughter what that man has done to her. And I know plenty of other parents that feel the same way.

Hi, k2blader-!

I like your tagline.

I prefer not to think of them as sick because being sick implies a reason to be able to be a certain way.

Wrong, on the other hand, is a wonderful way of referring to them. I'm glad you said something.

It would be nice if God didn't have to take them out of their comfort zones to do it, but it does seem we require being taken out of our comfort zones by God before we accept His is serious....doesn't it?

Chad,

Now, really. Why would I have a problem with you thinking you're on the pro-life side?

Some people get so insecure!
