After Defeats Schiavo Parents Tell Supporters Go Home
AP - Yahoo ^ | March 26, 2005 | Jane Sutton

Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.

"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.

It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

Thank you, jpsb.

I was trying to recall the phrase they used.

Wonder how many FReepers would elimnate "useless eaters" if they could, but because at this point in time it's ILLEGAL so they do not admit to it?

The answer would be interesting. Not surprising, but interesting.

I can't believe she is still conscious after 8 days. She is crying. She knows she is being killed.<<<

Nah don't you know according to some on here the Schindlers and their lawyer are lying about Terri bleeding and her crying.
Even though Felos will not allow video in the room.

However, a man who comes forward 7 years after the fact to say he all of a sudden remembered his wife's death wish is very credible to them all because King Greer said he believed it.

My question is ..do they really believe that story. Do they really think Terri said this to him and his brother and his brother wife?
Hell no..nobody with any common sense believes that bs.

How convenient three people remember word for word the same story about Terri proclaiming she would want to die, and they remember at the same time...a full 7 years later.

yeah okay....

I KNOW.I KNOW. GREER SAID IT WAS BELIEVABLE AND RULED IT AS "CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE", AND HE IS A JUDGE AND THAT IS THE LAW.

lol..just amazing. *shakes head*

yes, we are not Germany, and I seriouly doubt we would ever have death camps here. But we do have late term abortions which are horrid in and of themselves. We just barely avoided state assisted suicide. So my fear is the slippery slope, the slipy slope is best avoided by just not going there period. The best arguement for just not gong there is looking at what happened to the cultures that did go there, ie Nazis.

I think it's best to ignore the pro-murder side. There is something very sick and wrong with their souls. God will have to reach them some other way..

so we change the laws if possible, or do you have another solution....

To be completely frank, I don't see any solution to the mess we've gotten ourselves into. Roe v Wade opened a Pandora's Box of death in America. When I think of the tens of millions of seniors terminated in this barbaric-yet-cost-effective way, and add it to the 45,000,000 kids slaughtered in the womb, I don't a problem that needs fixin'. I see a holocaust we're going to have to answer for.

Just one man's opinion.

Nothing is ever as simple as we wish it would be.

Your SOF approach would get someone hurt, and there is no way you as governor could have guarenteed that.

Nor could Bush, you don't take innocent lives to prevent the death of another innocent.

If you believe it is right to do so then you are no better then the Michael Schiavo's of the world.

I can't not bear to hear anymore of the suffering this poor woman is being made to endure. It is too much for me to take.

you can wonder about how many FReepers would do in "useless" eaters......I for one would not....but unitl you know of those who do, don't speculate on who believes this or not.......it is mindless speculation not based in facts presented

So sweet of you!

Quill pen, medium to wide point, blue ink is best, on lined stationary with roses on the side...no, not roses..how about lilacs? Lilacs are good.

And instead of english, could you do it in French? With footnotes sure to properly annotated. (I deduct points if those are not done corrrectly)

Let's see...pen, ink, oh..good blue ink - not any of that cheap stuff that runs..the stationary can be of a soft pastel colour, but one that goes with the lilacs on the side of it.

Nothing garish. If you're not sure as it if it's quite up to my normal quality, go to your local stationary shoppe and ask for the top 3 grades and select of those - this will help you not to spend too much of your hard earned monies, but should for presentation should work.

Now, as to the size and style of the explaination you will be attempting to do: Script - using Classic Russian - I just love those rounded letters! Nothing too large but not anything so small that I have to use a seeing glass to view the content.

You know, Chad, it's so sweet of you to go through all this trouble. Didn't know you were such a gentleman.

Of course, the fact that I'm not disabled and laying prone in a bed being deprived of food and water myself with aid in the explaination.

When I get hungry my mind strays. So you might want to tuck in some of those wonderfully made English teacakes the Brits have at weddings. Small, but they do taste so good.
And for a beverage, let's see. Hot tea sounds good with teacakes, so if you could see your way to do so, a good cuppa would be wonderful.

Now, as to your explaination. One answer would be fine. I realize you feel awkward having to stand on your feet with just one answer. But we do have to 'grow and make progress' and my nanny used to tell me. So take your time, and when you figure out which side of the coin you fall on, just ring me up.

I'll set the table for two for tea.

There have been actual posts on here, calling for overthrow of the government, the killing of Greer, the killing of Michael Shiavo, and the storming of the hospice, and armed standoffs and the like. They get pulled almost as fast as they get posted.

They do happen. Luckily, the majority of the FReepers are nto like that.

You are right.

I don't understand why some people expect God to let this all go unpunished.

>>haha.....not only can I find you posts.....didn't you hear about the guy in N.Carolina today that got busted for putting a bounty out for Greer and Mike S.......<<<

You said people on here advocated killing both Greer and M Schiavo.

Yes I've heard about the guy in NC, but what does that have to do with anything posted here?

I am sure BOTH parties in this case are receiving threats.

I don't have to figure which side of the coin I'm on - I've always known. I'm on the pro-life side, where I've been for as long as I can remember...

Got a problem with that, too, I suppose?

You sound so heartbroken. Don't cry, Daughter --

I do not want loyalty, thank you, from Gov. Bush.

I expect him to fulfill the obligations of his office.

You may be loyal to him. It's yours for the giving.

He'll have to earn mine, by fulfilling his obligations.
