Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.
"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.
It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

"Grace in tragic loss"
that would be exactly how i would have said it....
President Bush should order the National guards to protect the body of Terri Schindler from being immediately cremated by Mike "The Murderer" Schiavo, thus destroying all trace of his physical spousal abuse toward Terri.
I'm willing to bet inside a year, one of those priests will be presiding at Michael's wedding.
I was told by a person at the hospice the local bishop told the local Catholics congregations to stay away. I did notice that this did not stop other Catholics from sizeable participation.
Not gonna happen. The local cops and DA are tight with Greer, they won't be investigating. And state law enforcement isn't going to do an investigation that would make Jeb look bad for not saving Terri. Likewise the feds - - they don't want to keep public focus on an issue that the Bushes hope will go away quickly.
Why would you wish a thing on harmless fleas?
It's not over. Jeb Bush could still order Terri put under protective custody. But the longer he doesn't, the more I think he won't.
as an attorney, Felos was just arguing to a "jury".
Felos and his democrat party enablers KNOW they have lost in the court of public opinion.
Felos' faux observations and crocodile tear sympathy were pathetic lawyering. I have seen it many times in the court and usually the lawyer is too stupid to realize how fake he or she looks.
Michael denies Terri her First Amendment rights...Where is the ALCU and the Libertarians now?
maybe it's to clear the scene for a jeb vs. el presidente greer showdown. /tinfoil
Carnac, izzat you? ;)
Maybe this will help.
"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

My country,' tis of thee,
sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing;
land where my fathers died,
land of the pilgrims' pride,
from every mountainside let freedom ring!
My native country, thee,
land of the noble free, thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
thy woods and templed hills;
my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.
Let music swell the breeze,
and ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song;
let mortal tongues awake;
let all that breathe partake;
let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.
Our fathers' God, to thee,
author of liberty, to thee we sing;
long may our land be bright
with freedom's holy light;
protect us by thy might, great God, our Kin
I didn't realize the wishes of a dying woman had a statute of limitations........just like Terri's life.
AP News is reporting that the husband has denied Terri communion on Easter.

God, please bless this nation.
Internet interest has helped in other ways.
:)
Actually, I don't think they have lost in the court of public opinion. Here, we're informed. "Out there", the people that have actually heard of this case still believe (and will continue to believe) that Terri was on "life support" and that her "husband" should have the decision and that the evil Republicans were just trying to control everyone's personal life and.... yadda yadda yadda. Besides, it's not like it's Nazi Germany or anything. That stuff can't happen here. (/sarcasm)
This one'll be mighty close to the three-headed monster!
The Libertarians generally do not extend their fervor for rights to the unborn. Now we see they don't care about the rights of the extremely disabled, either.
