Tragic that some of the most compelling facts in the Terri Schiavo case didnt emerge before she reached deaths door.
While the mainline media was probing whether the worlds most famous hospice victim had really told husband Michael she would not want to live in a persistent vegetative state, it completely missed the ties of Michael Schiavos lawyer to the very hospice where the life-and-death drama played out.
See The Proof Today! From February 13, 1997 to about April 26, 2001 Attorney George Filos was listed as a member of the Board of Directors for "The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast" on the non-profits annual reports.
Suncoast operates the hospice where Terri Schiavo has been held.
One doesnt have to rely on the annual reports of the hospice where Terri Schiavo was left to die for proof of Filos board membership. It is stated in the authors description in the George Filos book, Litigation as Spiritual Practice.
It was in the summer of 1998 when Filos filed the first lawsuit to withdraw food and water from the disabled Terri Schiavo.
The chronology of events is as follows: "Filos becomes Michael Shiavos lawyer and files the petition. Then the law in Tallahassee gets changed. The Schiavo case gets heard. In that order." (The David Allen Show).
Surely its important to look at who lobbied for changing the law on the books to make food and water be defined as "artificial" life support.
In 1999, House Bill 2131 was introduced for the Florida Elder Affairs and Long-Term Care Committee.
Representative Gus Michael Bilirakis, who also lists himself on the Suncoast Hospice Board of Directors, lobbied on Bill 2131.
It is difficult to understand why the mainline media did not bring these facts before the public in reporting . . . .

Roosters guarding the henhouse.
It's easy to understand. There's no effort involved in simply asking one side for their story and reporting it as objective truth.
So we can all be clear as to what may be in store for the huge aging baby boomer population when Mrs. Clinton reinvents her national health mal-care policy.
To be in hospice LEGALLY, you must be within 6 MONTHS of dying....Terri has been in hospice for over 5 YEARS!! This needs to be investigated as to why she has been there with no music, no sunlight for 5 years.
Hitlery's Law: Once you quit paying taxes, you are TOAST.
Say what? What is your point? Felos is on the Board of the Hospice. I've known that for at least six months, maybe a year. Sorry you didnt. But of what importance is that? It may have gotten her space in the hospice and it may have gotten the preferential treatment she is getting (hospice has not been charging for her care recently). So what is your point? Why should we be freaked out by Felos membership on the Board?
As for Bilirakis? What is your problem with him? He's the same guy that wrote the Nobel nomination for your doctor Hemmelbracdfdfdf. Cant have it both ways.
According to some state law or according to the policy of the hospice?
Here's a link to the story about the possible Medicaid/Medicare fraud investigation.

what irony?!
filos means 'friend' in greek,
with friends like that, who needs enemies!
hope that this malaka gets taken from behind
by a turk in a dark alley ;-)
This article on Felos is very revealing as to the nature of his "spirituality" and his former clients.
In a book he has written, "LAW AS SPIRITUAL PRACTICE" he does not mention Schiavo but says, according to the article, that he wants to start a book as soon as the case is over.

"Say what? What is your point?"
You're not dealing with rational people. Any "connection" proves their position, even ones that do the opposite.
The interest of the hospice/hospital is to milk the patient as long as there is money/insurance to pay. She's got money.
Sad isn't it. She'd get her gal pal, Reno, to come burn down our homes with her goon tank battalions.
====================================================================================================I am following up on loose ends, and I came across some sloppy Terri information posted by you [Dave S] on an old thread. I don't mean to harrass you, but to just correct the record now that cooler heads can review her case...
Now for the third doctor, and according to Greer the 3-out-of-5 tie-breaking opinion, that the judge singled out to condemn Terri with her "PVS label"...
His name was Dr. Peter Bambakidis Note, they are NOT the same person!
I won't say too much about your claims that Terri-supporters are paranoid about hospice BOARD Members... Let's just say it is reasonable for Terri-supporters to believe hospice Board Members are Euthanasia "friendly".
And you did NOT point this out, but lawyer George Felos was MORE than just 'on the board' of Terri's hospice. He was the CHAIRMAN of the Board of that hospice at the time Terri was admitted there in 2000. THAT seems like a significant conflict of interest if nothing else. The two doctors who admitted her, drew their paychecks from, and kept their jobs at the whim of George Felos.
One of them never even signed her admittance form (a federal violation) and later disavowed under oath what someone else typed next to his name on that form. [that she was terminal with less than 6 months to live - a requirement for federal funding]
Medicaid paid her bills there, which means nearly all of Terri's money had to be 'pre-sheltered' from Medicaid's accounting, something Felos apparently accomplished between 1998 and 2000. Also see Dirty Tricks of Guardians #6 and #9 in particular.
If that weren't enough, Terri-supporters believe there was a prior personal relationship with Dr. Peter Bambakidis, or the Bambakidis family and George Felos before he was assigned by Judge Greer to determine Terri's PVS state. Briefly: Felos' literature lists him as a member of the AHEPA fraternal society, and Dr. Bambakidis' older brother Gust Bambakidis is also a member of the same AHEPA society. Gust says he did not know George Felos. George Felos refuses to answer if he had prior knowledge of anyone in the Bambakidis family.
I have verified this much myself... that the family name Bambakidis is EXTREMELY rare in the United States. There are only TWO Bambakidis males in this country between ages 40 to 80. Dr. Peter Bambakidis and Gust Bambakidis. They lived in several of the same towns, and it does appear they are brothers. (as Gus already confirmed that they are.) I don't know if there was a Felos-Bambakidis prior relationship, but it certainly HAS appeared like Greer has been overly prone to suggestions from Felos over the years.
I have also found that Mr. Chris P. Felos (not George's son) is an officer (chapter secretary) of an AHEPA chapter in Florida, and Gust Bambakidis is a officer (chapter VP of Education) of an AHEPA chapter in Ohio. Geoge Felos has only one son named Alexander, and Chris P. Felos is 10 years younger than George Felos. I don't know yet if they are related.
AHEPA has many national projects which could have connected two of its chapter officers. There also was their national convention in early July 2002 in NYC. That was just about the time or shortly before Greer selected P.Bambakidis to diagnose Terri. (P.Bambakidis examined Terri for 30 minutes and filed his report in Mid Sept 2002.)
Shermy: on 3/26 you said this in reply to Dave S:
Thanks for providing the link!!
I'd settle for a list of people who were ever on the board of the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast who are tied to this case.
According to the feds who pay the bills.
You let the Old Media, the MSM, off too easy. It takes more than laziness to explain their one-sided highly distorted POV on Terri Schindler. They were forwarded mountains of information to support Terri going back at least two years. It also must take a little effort to find 'experts' to come on the boob tube and claim with a straight face that starving and dehydrating to death is "euphoric and blissful."
She was "legally terminal" when she was admitted. The prognosis of terminal was based on a scheduled natural death by dehydration.
That legal mechanism appears to be the rule for the medical/hospice professions. Obviously, easiest to carry out on people who can't speak up to defend themselves, and an inability to speak up can be created with medication.
