Yes, I agree in that people have mentioned that this case with Terri is much different since we really do not know what her wishes were and her husband has a conflict of interest. Congress and the Governor were responding to the appeals of the immediate family who have the legal right to pursue these channels.
It so important to place the power of attorney into the hands of someone we can really trust.
