WASHINGTON -- By a margin of almost 2-to-1, likely Florida voters feel strongly that Congress and President Bush should have stayed out of the battle over Terri Schiavo's fate, according to a new poll conducted this week for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Florida Times-Union.

Nothing about this case will have the slightest influence on any election.

I was just watching CNN because Fox had on Bulls and Brears - I had to turn off CNN. They are the worst when it comes to reporting this. They are so anti-Life it is disgusting. And they wonder why their ratings are down the toilet! And they will go even further down the toilet.

Notice how they never tell you the question that was asked. "All the questions have been designed to illicit the answer desired. Example: "Terry has been in a persistent vegatative state for 15 years with absolutely no hope of recovery. Do you suuport the painless fashion in which she will be taken off life support or the governments desire to force her to stay alive?" The honest question should be, "Do you support the court order to kill Terry by starvation?" That question is factually and demonstrably true! Read me the results of that poll! Shame on our lazy press and murderous courts."

I know the polls are absolutely wrong! Even my liberal friends are sick about what is happening! Once more of the truth gets out, the liberal media will start changing their tune.

They see what they want to see because they are using fear and projection, emotion over ruling logic, like what liberals do.

It is OBVIOUS Demcrat Politicians hear that drummer because they obviously willnot speak on this issue.

In fact the ONLY democrat to speak on this is Ted Kennedy who thinks the girl should be allowed to die. (ironic no?)

When the moral law is surpassed by the lesser legal law. When the courts are murdering innocent life. That's when!

the polls are based on what they hear on the MEDIA BOOB TUBES!!!!!!!!!!! not on the FACTS. If the Facts of this case were heard and detailed, they would turn in the masses towards freeing Terri!!!!!!!!Look at what happened when the videos of Rodney King came out in Los Angeles....sad day when our media becomes god along with the judical. Between the two, we have no more America like we once did. I believe the moment Terri dies, SO WILL AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me see, Congress and the President should not have interfered.....but it's ok for the government to interfere with our wages, through taking taxes, should tell us how to run our businesses, tells us we cannot build something because we have to save a tweety bug and the list goes on with government interference. I'd still like to see the wording of the question.

National polls are showing the same thing, that Congress and the Government should stay out of a very personal matter...

The poll does not say otherwise. It does not mention asking people if they cared. I am not going to read in your hypothetical restriction without some evidence.

I think the President has done what he could effectively do without losing too much....

and anything more would really step on a ton of toes and constituents that aren't feeling like they need to storm the Hospice, which is approximately 80%...

In a case where nothing is written down, the next best thing is what she told her family. Most people don't discuss these issues with friends or family. Many discuss these issues with spouses because it usually comes up when life insurance is bought, or who will look after the children, etc.. . In this case the husband told the court what the conversation was with his wife. He stated she never wanted to live this way.
This stands up all the time in court, truthfully, it almost never goes to court.

Yes, because soon it becomes a duty to die. It becomes a thing perceived as shameful to live to be old enough to be sick and infirm.

No matter what, this whole thing is forcing us to weed out the cobwebs in our souls; in future we must be clear in how we address our final wishes, and remove the rose-colored glasses we view the politicians we hope speak for us.

My father died a horrific and painful cancer death. His doctors prescribed tylenol-3, which is usually for the pain of a root canal, and even hard to get then, unless you convince the doctor that you have a low threshold of pain.

The powers-that-be are worried that the terminally ill will become addicted to narcotics.

Who really gives a **** what polls say about this?

You should. You may have a keenly developed sense of right and wrong, but many others' opinions are shaped by these things. I'm not saying it's right, it's just the way it is.
