WASHINGTON -- By a margin of almost 2-to-1, likely Florida voters feel strongly that Congress and President Bush should have stayed out of the battle over Terri Schiavo's fate, according to a new poll conducted this week for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Florida Times-Union.

Can't disagree with that. Instead of taking the high road, they take the safe one.
Ditto #10.
Since when did conservatives and Christians think it was a good idea to use children to make a political point? That's what the liberals do and get slammed for it.
Since when did conservatives think it was a good idea for the federal government to get involved in what has for years been a private matter between families and doctors?
Since when did conservatives think something should be a federal matter vs. a state's right.
Since when did Christians think it was okay to stand outside a Hospice with bullhorns yelling all day and night? Those patients in that Hospice are suffering because of this.
And there was an article today that a little girl got a phone call from the Hospice that her grandpa was dying and before she could get through all the security checkpoints, he'd died.
And since when did the GOP think it was a good idea to let Randall Terry think he owns the party and is going to control its agenda? He is the face of conservatism and Christianity that a LOT of the country does not like, including moderates AND other conservatives.
And since when did the president not understand Politics 101 that you do not cater to the 25% of your radical base? This is what the Democrats have done to disastrous results.
Should you expect anything different. Please note someone, look what is in Fla. it has been taken over by YANKS, and liberal YANKS. The poulation of native Flas. is a very low percent, a read recently. Someone who knows how to find this on the population of native Fla., will you find and please post???
"But the poll wasn't of "most people who care." It was of the largely blissfully ignorant public."
So you claim. Another assumption.
I think the polls showed Kerry won all the debates too!
What was thee question and how was it worded?
There is a right to carry out the wishs of a patient to end treatment. That treatment was the PEG tube.
Perhaps if they knew that Terri's eyes are bleeding right now, they'd change their minds.
Lord have mercy on us all.
The ABC republican talking points memo has been exposed as a fake.
The ABC poll has been exposed as a rigged quetion with an equally small sample.
The Gallop poll has been shown the same.
There is 100% reason to show NOTHING has changed.
The MSM spins and lies and FR exposes.
Early Exit Polls Show Kerry Landslide
Wait: I thought they were lying around in a vegetative state, just waiting for somebody to come along and starve them so they can pass away pleasantly.
Sure. If you've got money.
Sun Sentinal had kerry by 5 points.
No one knows her wishes.
You don't know that she ever requested any such thing.
At the time her alleged wishes occurred, stopping the feeding was not even a matter of consideration. How crystal ball of you to read that into something she can't comment upon now.
Yup. From nonsense reporting to push polls, the stops have been pulled out.
She's "terminally ill" - right. So am I if don't eat.
Most people don't want the Feds to interfere - right. The whole case is based on Supreme Court case law, decided in D.C. (Cruzan decision).
The spin masters are working over time. "Ninety five per cent of thinking Americans agree that Bush is a monster!" - MSNBC push poll, soon to be released.
What a comedy show.
Who really gives a **** what polls say about this?
It's either right or it is wrong.
