WASHINGTON -- By a margin of almost 2-to-1, likely Florida voters feel strongly that Congress and President Bush should have stayed out of the battle over Terri Schiavo's fate, according to a new poll conducted this week for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Florida Times-Union.

So is the judiciary not part of our government? The State of FL has been involved for years, trial judges, state legislature, courts etc and the people say the government is only our Pres and Congress? How stupid are we supposed to be pollsters?
"According to testamony, it is clear the severence of the relationship (between the Shindlers and Mr. Shivavo) was predicated on money."
"On February 14, 1993, Mr. Schiavo was requested to split the 300,000 with the Shindlers and he refused and since that day they have not spoken.
According to the court papers this is the underlying cause of the split in the relationship between the two parties. Although the story differs with each party, they both agree that this event took place in the hospital room where Terri was on the date listed above. Go look it up.
According to the court record, the Shindlers "encouraged Michael to get on with his life"
"Therefore, neither side is exempt from finger pointing as to possible conflict of interest in this case."
Please read my post again. I was referring to the nurses. Not whether he had a relationship with another woman or not.
I do not know, but how is that relevant to the award? I will answer that for you NONE.
If the polls are right, the majority is wrong, damn wrong.
No loss..later
And you know what? I don't care. Those who don't take this issue seriously ought take care of upsetting those of us who do.
It's because trhey are idiots who don't know the facts of this case. An autopsy MUST BE DONE to find the truth!!!!!
They are seeing only what the MSM want them to see. If the were given the real story, trhey'd be freaking out. American is largely sleeping....
I think Greer was stuck with this case because no other judge would take it and he was privatly told he would be "rewarded" or protected if he kept it. But that is just speculation on my part with nothing to corroborate it other than my own personal experience over the years. (how is that for a disclaimier?)
Newsflash, no the GOP is NOT ripping iself appart. The GOP is fairly united other than FIVE rinos in the house.
It is the democrats who are in paniced spin mode. It is the democrats who split almost 50/50 during the house vote. It is the democrats in the senate who consented to a unanimouse consent vote (including hitlary) on this issue.
The only split here is how the Mediots and Democrats are going to spin this. Hence we have these idiotic polls.
Remember these are the same people who polled, and wrote stories that the homosexual marriage amendments would not all pass. We had 12 pass in 2004 by wide margins.
The Dems are silent because they are trying to do the monty python sketch of "trying not to be seen."
Maybe Greer is a patsy or a chump.
Patsy Greer -- has a nice ring to it.
A Sun-Sentinel poll is useless.
It's a hard left newspaper, extremely biased.
It's meaningless.
The fact is that the truth about this situation is not being told in the "mainstream" commie media.
"As someone else said "From Buckhead to this in six months. It's been quite a freefall.""
Yep.
The ignorant mob screamed "Crucify!!"...
Pure blizzard.
What we need to remember is, in spite of the courts' self-arrogance, marbury v. madison and all that rot, they are NOT the only arbiters of law in the American republican system of government. Legislatures get that task when it comes to judging the executive. It's called impeachment proceedings. I believe the Florida legislature would, after some wobbling, stand behind Jeb if he executed a law that the legislature wrote.
You'll have to go after Scalia next then. He's had quite a lot to say about removing life saving equipment, including feeding tubes, in Cruzan.
He and other justices ruled that a state can, but doesn't even have to, use clear and convincing evidence, outside a living will, to determine a patients wishes.
The beauty of what I suggested is that the courts CAN'T do anything if Jeb successfully falls back on the legislature.
