Elizabeth Farah's moving thoughts to Florida's Governor on what needs to be done. Leadership is not about compromising your principles but upholding them whatever the cost to oneself personally. In this struggle more is at stake than one human life; at stake is our convictions about justice and the principle of the right to life guaranteed to citizens by our American political order. Its difficult for Jeb Bush in these hours but "almost" is not good enough. We must fight for the right as God gives us to see the right, to the end.

Great read. If only Jeb and George would see it and be moved!

All very nice, but Jeb Bush CANNOT BREAK THE LAW even if that law is bad.

When Terri Schaivo dies, are we going to see people calling Jeb Bush a murderer, like they're calling her husband?

I sincerely hope not. Jeb Bush has stood by the Schindler family throughout all this. The idea that he can just brush aside legality with 'a stroke of a pen' and is being judged accordingly by some is disturbing to say the least.

Is there anybody who hasn't tried jumping on this sad and sick bandwagon?

I have heard from so many posters that Terri wants to die.

Seems to me like she is giving it her best effort to stay alive.

She is truly an extra ordinary person.

Principles are great, but he needs some law on his side to do something.

With all these judges rulings on this matter, I think his hands seems to be tied unless social services goes in.

They won't go in because after they do, the next day they lose their job.

Congress officially should hand the Judges in Florida on contempt charges. Terri was due in front of Congress and was ordered to be there as a witness in good shape.

As to whether Congress reams Florida a new one depends on the people's reaction. If the people scream, Congress will strike. If the people get quiet, then Congress lets the issue die in the dark.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Hopefully this doesn't mean God wants us to linger on indefinitely in a horrible state of limbo between life and death.

Everyone talks about laws. Well the law of nature has spoken, it says with food and water Terri will live. God is the creator of the laws of nature, therefore it is God's will that Terri live. If God chose for Terri to be in Heaven she would already be there. God is love and if we seek to be in the image of God we would love Terri. What is loving about withdrawing food and water? Nothing at all. It is cruel and depraved, those things are of the evil one, not God.

I refuse to condemn Jeb Bush, I don't even begin to know what he could or couldn't do for Terri. The longer this goes on the more we are attacking one another. Evil is at work, beware.

My small contribution to Terri yesterday:

Dear Governor Bush,

Saving Terri’s life:

At this point, you can’t lose anymore than what you have already lost because you have nothing more to lose. But if you do something, anything, to save her life, you have everything to gain because this is now a national issue.

Admiral David Glasgow Farragut said, "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!" With that decision, he won the Battle of Mobile Bay and became and is a legend to this day.

So, Governor, are you going to become a legend by damning the torpedoes? If you don’t, you will never know if you would have won the battle, but you definitely will have lost it.

Sincerely,

This is precious and powerful. May the Lord make a way for Jeb Bush to read this and let it pierce his heart.

The Founding Fathers, and their "enablers", broke British Law over and over nearly 250 years ago.
