Grotesque? Just grotesque? It's not, it's ghoulish from our side!
What does this have to do with religion? The man is obsessed about religion more than are the religious. He is the one using ideology to cover up a murder and dismiss hard evidences and witnesses, dead.
This is not just killing a disabled person, but murdering a key witness.
Of course atheists could care less about science, and especialy hate a Bible with well described crime scenes requiring investigation.

Feeding frenzy on death, the real face of Nazi liberals coming through: keep your ammo dry: they are already using this as precedent to persecute and "pull the plug" on Christians on basis of "mental illness".

If Germond ever becomes a vegetable, look out for him at the state fair.

If Germond ever needs a feeding tube, we'll have to use a fire hose.

Make that, "Fat Man in the Left Seat."
No, wait, make that "Fat Man in the Two Left Seats."

"I actually was surprised to see just how much vitriole, disdain, and hatred of Christians there is in this country. "
There is not a lot of hatred for Christians in this country. There is a lot of hatred against Christians in the urban centers and immediate surrounding areas, which is where the loudmouthed elitists live for the most part. I don't think there's a soul in our town who is not appalled at what's going down.
In summary, they are mad that Bush got re-elected, and the conclusion of the punditry has been that it was the more religious people in this country that made it happen. Therefore, they are on a full-bore assault against Christianity. It will not get any better after this, either.
"It certainly has been visible in statements by politicians, pundits, lawyers, relatives of soon to be deceased women, and many others."
Again, those who scream the loudest get the coverage, and if they suit the general bent of the MSM, so much the better. They routinely create the appearance of false consensuses. This vitriol comes mainly from the urban crowd, and even within it there are serious divisions.
You best approach is to do what you think is best. I personally couldn't care less what these folks think of me. I'll also be honest and say that I do not think very highly of them, either. I've played the rat race, and the only thing that saved me from an early grave was to get the hell out of that nutbin. My lifestyle works for me, and I am a lot healthier for it, so if they have a problem with it then too bad for them. Someday, they'll get over it.

Few realize that America is closer to dying than living. Our great experiment must be maintained and revived every generation. The life source of America IS the Judeo Christian ethos. No other society has ever come close to what has been created. Millions want to come to America. Why? To be free. In a Christian nation. But now the Christian is a source of disdain. All societies that have abused Christians have been punished-America will be no different when she turns on Christianity.
This whole Schiavo incident shows that there is a cancer in America- it is liberalism.

Turn? Germond has been a god-hating leftist all his life.....
To: Commander Salamander
The Fat Man takes his turn in the Culture of DeathEXACTLY.
The last time I went to Mass, Gerald Ford was President, so I wouldn't say my religious devotion is at the forefront of my daily existence.
But what is happening to this poor women shocks me beyond belief.
This is supposedly a 'right to privacy' issue. Really? So one's incapacitated wife reverts to being chattel? If Michael Schiavo went into her room and beat her, he would be arrested immediately for domestic abuse. But if he and some lawyers conspire together and get a judge to issue an order to starve her to death, that's legal?
Nothing shows the hypocrisy of our out-of-control judicial system better than the fact that whenever a difficult case arises, you can count almost 100% on the case being decided in conformity with the dominant left-wing ideology that embraces irrational self-assertion to point of the loving of death over life.

Where were these people the last time the courts ordered Terri Schiavo starved to death,in 2003?
I lived in the area, and have followed this "case" for years.
I was finally stirred to action in 2003, and wrote and called my elected officials.I stood outside the hospice with her family and supporters.
I thought at the time, after they had attempted to murder her for six days, after the legislative branch and Governor Bush signed an emergency law expressly for saving her life, it was over, and she would be allowed to live out the rest of her life in peace.
Many people did not know that the legislature had defined basic sustenance as a "medical treatment" that could be denied any patient "they" added to the list of those not deserving of excessive and pointless medical intervention.
Most people didn't even know there was such a list.
I can speak for myself, and many people I met outside the hospice in 2003 who did not come there out of any particularly religious reason, although many I met there were devout in their beliefs.
Some of us stood and protested for the first time in our lives, because we saw an injustice of epic proportions was happening in our community.
I don't care about the opinions of people who just found out about this case and have decided to casually weigh in with their uneducated and pointless remarks.
They have the right to voice them.
I have no duty to heed them, or pay them serious attention.
I also will not forgive them their ignorance.
I leave that task to God, people of religion, and history.
