Police have canceled an Amber Alert after finding a body in rural Johnson County. A positive identification of the body has not been made.
The Alert had been issued after ten-year-old Jetseta Gage disappeared from her Cedar Rapids home on Thursday night.
Police located 37-year-old Roger Paul Bentley in Johnson County this morning. He is in custody but has not been charged.
Jetsetta's mother Trena Gage says the Bently was a family friend who worked on her car occassionally. He was at the home from about noon until eight and Gage says her son saw the 10-year-old get into Bentley's truck. She told TV9, "My son said he saw my daughter in the truck...she has permission because because we've known him so long. I got back at 8:30 and she was gone."
"I'm distraught. I'm just praying," Trena told the Cedar Rapids Gazette. "I just want her home."
Jetseta, who is mentally challenged, is a white 10-year-old, stands 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds. Again, she was last seen wearing an orange coat and purple pants.
The suspect Roger Bently is listed on the Iowa Sex Offenders Registry for a 1994 Buchanan County conviction involving a white female under age 13.
Naaaah, we only do that for middle aged women who sold stock after illegally talking to their brokers.
You can be assured that SCOTUS will give this guy leniency. We need to take back our courts why are these guys on the street? Its a damn shame that we have become a country that murders the innocent and saves the guilty.

What is it with these guys with three names.
Most people have 3 names. I think the press likely uses all 3 to reduce the chance of some innocent 'Roger Bentley' getting strung up by a mob.
There are 6 people in my phone book with my first and last names, but there's only one (me) with my middle initial or name - and I have a fairly common last name.
I think it dies. I couldn't believe when I watched the interview that they chose to edit that part out. It makes it seem like the mother was totally irresponsible, but then again, she was partially irresponsible to have a convicted child sex offender so close to her young children.
IN Iowa, all police logs list first, middle and last. It's pretty standard here.
When they let this monster out again, let's rent him a home next door to the judge. Let him be the hero of his neighbors for trying to rehabilitate this guy one more time...
IIRC, the grandmother was at home, and the kids were outside playing in the yard.
The mother was taking a class at college. The Grandmother was home at the time this happened.

Its these child killers we should be starving to death. Not some helpless woman in Florida.
Folks, I hate to be the one to point this out, but one has nothing to do with the other. I understand the sentiment, but the tragedies are not comprable. Not even close.
