BEIRUT, March 25, 2005 (IslamOnline.net & News Agencies) – Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad was reportedly to declare a detailed schedule of widrawing his troops from Lebanon, as a UN fact-finding mission report found Lebanon’s inquiry into the killing of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri seriously flawed and held Syria responsible for insecurity and disorder in its neighbor Arab country.

The reported announcement is seen as critical to the organization of Lebanese parliamentary elections in May.

Interviewed by French television Thursday, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said Assad was now within days of announcing a schedule for the withdrawal of the estimated 10,000 troops remaining in eastern Lebanon.

Yep.
The detailed withdrawal timetable will be in several forms of rough draft for the next 10 months, with many re-writes, negotiations, discussions and summits.
THEN, there will be a huge display of partial withdrawal, as per agreed, with a detailed timetable put forth.
Then, Syria will withdraw its withdrawal for a while, renegotiate, re-discuss, re-summit and re-re-write.
Then, Assad's grandson will be taking over the process because two generations will have come and gone.
:o) Ah, such cynicism for a Good Friday. So sorry.

talking about withdrawal and the UN in the same sentence is likely to confuse the reader with stories of other UN scandals.

another Bush win!

No, it's another Bush failure ... just ask our press, the left and Ted Kennedy!

We are stepping on the Syrian's right to put troops anywhere they want to, thereby hurting their feelings and making them feel inadequit!

Add millions of freedom voters in Iraq, Freedom protestors in Lebanon and other middle East countries to Shock and Awe, and we see the Bush doctrine taking hold.

How can this be? I just read a column by that great patriot and international thinker, Mr. Pat Buchanan, and he said that everything President Bush did was wrong, and that Syria would never withdraw from Lebanon unless the US withdrew from Iraq.
Seriously, I'm pretty tired of pat's dalliance with the "Blame Amerika First" crowd.
