Chad, you are a little late here...

We have already determined that it was Judge Greer who ordered the removal of all the supports and prohibited any cranes or scaffolds. Thus ensuring that the roof would collapse, the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear our argument, so we must move on. Sorry.

the site is just south of PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH HWY....

Rebar fall at Texas Instruments plant project site hurts 4

RICHARDSON, Texas Fire-rescue crews are trying to reach workers trapped by a rebar collapse at a Texas Instruments construction site near Dallas. The incident happened today at T-I's three (B) billion-dollar wafer-fabricating plant project in northern Richardson.

Interim Fire Chief Alan Palombo says four workers have suffered mild to moderate injuries, but that rescue crews have managed to remove just one of those workers.

Palombo says the rebar mat for a second floor fell as concrete was being poured.

The new plant is a partnership with the Unversity of Texas at Dallas and is expected to employ about a thousand workers.

The state has committed 50 (M) million dollars from the Texas Enterprise Fund to the project -- which aims to bolster U-T-D's engineering and computer science programs.

(Thanks to WFAA and KXAS)

So it IS the President's fault, he coordinated the effort to cause the building to collapse, and then ordered the emergency crews to re-route the traffic to the TOLL road that he owns, and then raised the price of the TOLL, thus ensuring maximum profit. WOW .. this is great... someone call DU quick..

Hmmmm.

When I worked at the TI Expressway site (south building), I lived exactly one mile SW of 300 W Renner Road.

For the main facility, yes. The "letter" drives (Drive A, Drive B, etc.) all appear to be within the TI campus. The area shown the first photo will be north of there and across US75. The overpass shown in the photo appears to be Galatyn. The Nortel/Telecom corroidor complex is on your right side of the photo, across Central.

UH OH.. here come the conspiricy theories.. just south of PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH HWY....

And just north of LBJ, so it must be linked to the Kennedy assassination as well. This map has the area pretty well pegged, although the photo extends slightly to the south of the mapped area.

Heh, this site is just about 2 miles from the computer lab at UT-Dallas that I'm sitting in right now.

UTD just about crapped itself with excitement when it got this deal with TI and the state for the new facility.

Now when we insist that it's Bush's fault, we'll have to be more specific!

Your post 55 has the location pegged. Sounds like a construction accident. They didn't have enough temporary support under the wet concrete. They went past at least 3 hospitals, and there are at least 2 others close as well in other directions, to take the injured to the county hospital about 25 miles away.

I live in Dallas. There arent very many Trauma 1 beds at Medical City, or Presby. Parkland was the best bet..esp. given the time of day.
