Amen! Praising the Name of our Great King with you!
Beautiful job, dutchess!
Thank you, Your Honor, for that Beautiful Story!
Oh Sistah, I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend, and I will certainly pray for Pat. May the Lord's healing spirit touch her and all her family. And may He comfort you and give you the peace that only He can give.
As usual we are on the same wave Sistah. I watched it on Good Friday evening after attending Jack's Good Friday service. His service was awsome. Everything black. Black table cover, black cover on podium. Black candle holder with 7 black candles. Lights out. Only thing showing was 7 flames. Jack repeated the 7 last sayings that Jesus uttered from the cross and explained what they meant, then repeated the saying as KET snuffed out one flame. Then a man behind the curtain would ask Jesus to forgive us and thanked him for what he did. Then he would strike an anvil 3 times. Then on to the second saying and snuffing of candle, until all seven were out and it was totally dark. Everyone was asked to leave in silence, with just a couple of candles to light the way. It was so powerful. That is why I came home and watched the Passion.
How sweet. Your Mum looks like a sad little girl. I want to reach across the miles and give her a hug. (((((Mum)))))
Thank You, our Sweet King, for Your Love, Your Mercy, and Your Eternally Gracious Salvation!
There ya go....making me cry again. I've been very weepy all day anyway. Momma really did do a good job with us didn't she? I've missed you so much lately as I've been constrained with Easter preparations. It's been a long day from 4:00 a.m. Sunrise service at 6:00 with breakfast at church. Then our special Easter Cantada after Sunday School. Then to Roy's inlaws for lunch and visit. Then to nursing home to visit those there, then a stop at shut-ins home before arriving at Jack's church for his church's Easter Cantada. We're both pretty wiped out. Oh yeah. I took down all my stage props and loaded them in my van after services this morning. I'm glad that Easter comes only once a year. Same for Christmas. I love the special programs, but they take a lot of work.
Praise God for the peace he has given you this day Gail.
The long journey with Curtiss began about 20 years ago with his failing kidneys; something that had taken most men in his family in their 40's.
Sandy's sister gave him one of hers, but after a year it was rejected.
In about two years he was given another one that worked well -- but he developed a 'spot' on a lung - they removed part of that last summer, and found cancer in the one kidney.
He has gradually declined since, and to make matters unbearable, he also had a deteriorating spine for many years -- so much pain at the end from that, he was totally knocked out with heavy morphine doses.
It is God's grace that Pat was able to bear all this for as long as she did before her physical breakdown.
They were high school sweethearts, married well over 50 years.
It was indeed the perfect day for viewing The Passion of The Christ --
Oh, Nan - how awesome!!
After so much we have to believe that Curtiss is in a better place now. Pat can take comfort in knowing that she was with him in health and in sickness. She will be healed now and her memories will be good ones.
Ha. I don't know about the dynamo part. I think it might be dyna-less as I feel the age creeping up on me. And, you were not a tag-a-long. You did your share of ring-leading as I recall.
Isn't that something? Somebody sent that to me three or four years ago and I just found it again.
