Here I thought I was being unkind. I noticed that too.

It is even more unbelievable that we have so many people here who support armed intervention.

No, it is even more unbelievable that we have so many people here who support here death.

These Schiavo supporter threads start going bad from the very first post till the last. Barely a rational comment in between. Sad.

We should all root for her death in a 'sophisticated and eloquently spoken' manner, unlike those 'crude barbarians' who stand for life... /extreme sarcasm

No one supports death. Please don't say things like this. It's beyond childish.

We all love Terri just as much as you do.

People like you have turned Terri's life and impending death into a circus. It's very unbecoming.

It's sad that THIS is the face that America and the world sees.

Wrong! The headlines from around the world are like this one:

Terri Schiavo Would Not Be Starved in Israel"

That is what the world sees. A supposedly God-fearing nation that touts "life, liberty, ..." STARVING TO DEATH and innocent women.

He told me if I wasn't on Terri's side then I wasn't on God's side, either," McKenzie told The Associated Press.

Yes and if you aren't "on Terri and God's side" its OK to rob and possibly kill in their name apparently.

Thank God this nutcase was caught before he got to the hospice and started shooting up the place!

No one supports death

That is flat out not true. The 'facts' to support my statement are posted here several thousand times. How on earth can you deny that?!

I don't think there is a wrong moral side to this case. I believe that each side thinks they are doing the moral thing.

Without the living will I very hesitatingly vote to keep her alive despite my belief that there isn't a chance in hell that she would want to live like this.

It's sickening that some who want to keep her alive take many hours of tape of her in order to get what appears to be 5 seconds of conscious life when there is no conscious life.

Every doctor agrees on this except for the ones who work for the idiot James Dobson.

If we knew for sure that Ms. Schaivo had signed a legal piece of paper years ago to not allow her to be kept alive by machines would all of you have a different opinion of all of this?

I certainly would.

Those of you who would vote to keep her alive even if there were such a legal paper are nothing short of supporters of a fascist state.

Uh, it's a four hour drive to Georgia.

That would be one heck of a car chase for Fox to cover.

I'm not advocating violence but I will make an observation.

I've watched the rightfully incensed reactions of so many to what is being done to Terri Shiavo, the frantic DEMANDS that congress, the President, the Governor, DO SOMETHING.

The supporters of the Shindler side on this issue have screamed from the rooftops that Terri is being murdered and our government officials with be complicit in her murder if they don't take action, any action, to save her.

Once Terri dies, that is it. This isn't a policy issue being debated here. This isn't about an unfair tax hike or some other such bad legislation that the people can always go back and have redressed at a later date.

So why is it that with such high stakes involved, with all the impassioned pleas for SOMEONE to do SOMETHING, why is it that a man who tries, albeit in a misguided way, to take some real concrete action and not just type away on a keyboard with CAPSLOCK turned on, why is he a nut and an embarrassment.

At least he realizes there is no turning back once Terri is gone and is willing to put his freedom where his rhetoric is.

Just an observation.

People say Michael hasn't allowed any therapy but that simply isn't so. He went so far as to fly her to California and have an experimental implant inserted.

That was in 1990. Name one thing he has done (or allowed to be done) since then.

I, like you, don't advocate violence but do find it equally disturbing how many sound EXACTLY like those on the left who consider themselves so 'intellectually superior', mocking those 'Bible-thumping, simple, uneducated, red-neck, pick up truck driving, red staters', It's the same attitude that European elites have towards us conservatives in the US. The same attitude! "Oh, how crude and crass, someone actually wants to save an unborn baby or an innocent women..."

"Oh, how crude and crass, someone actually wants to save an unborn baby or an innocent women..."

So lets be clear here.

You think this nut was justified in robbing an innocent businessman with a deadly weapon to get an even deadlier weapon and go to the Florida hospice and probably kill one or more of the police officers guarding the place.

Is that correct?

not allow her to be kept alive by machines

well, isn't that the issue? She is not being kept alive by machines. Her autonomic functions work fine. She is being kept alive by primary care (turning to avoid bed sores etc) and application of food and water. These are hardly heroic measures: old people's homes are full of people receiving the same level of care.

And if any of what you say is true it still has NOTHING to do with Terri's right to life and right to representation under the Constitution of the United States of America.
