"Terry Schiavo MUST Die"---(Liberals,Liberals,Liberals)
3/24/05 | redrock

Posted on 03/24/2005 8:02:41 AM PST by redrock

As we watch (and pray) the drama that has unfolded.....the brain-damaged young woman...the husband wanting that young woman dead so that he can add some status to his live in lover.....the parents wanting the young woman to live...hoping against all hope that some miracle will happen and their daughter will be made whole.

And at the bottom of the whole mess is a very simple problem , a very simple question, that each of us must face....and that the Nation as a whole must look at and , finally...please finally, deal with.

Do we value life????

Is life important to our society...or have we finally fallen into the ditch that the liberals have dug for us...and embraced the 'Culture of Death'.

Part of the body of Christianity is that each of us is important...that each of us is a child of God..and as such is to be valued . And if we follow the spirit of Christianity....it wouldn't even be a question of wether or not Terry Schiavo would live because it would be automatic that we would do everything to help her keep life...even with just the remotest chance of her returning to her normal self.

But we have lost that edge...because it is simpler...easier...to buy into the rabid nonsense that 'Quality of Life' is more important than life. Because , in this Nation and indeed the world, it is simpler..and far easier to NOT look at just what is life...and where it comes from.

Which is just how the Liberals want it.

Because if we look at how important life is (and how important Terry Schiavo's life is) and we start a National Dialog on the subject...we would have to actually have to look at abortion...and the taking of life...the murder of the unborn.

We would have to look at how we treat, in our society, the elderly...the imfirm...those unable to care for themselves.

And that is something that Liberals (and most Americans for that matter) don't really want to discuss.

It is far easier to just watch the latest T.V. show...all the while mumbling something about the sanctity of the 'Quality of Life'.

So....a young woman in Florida will have to die.

All for the sake of not shaking the 'status quo'.

All for the sake of not upsetting the American culture at dinner time.

All for the sake of not actually looking into our souls...and the soul of this Nation...and coming to grips with the idea that all life is precious and must not be squandered.

..and the one thing that Liberals fear...(hear them quaking in their loafers??) that a re-evaluating of where we are...and where we are headed (life, abortion etc) would lead to a re-discovering of exactly where that life comes from.

God.

There was was once a great nation.

Who used to follow God's Law.

Then one day this nation

Decided that man's law was better.

And caught in the web was a helpless women.

And those who demanded her death let her suffer.

Rather than at least demand she be given lethal injection.

Her crime was she was not a criminal.

Because in this once great nation

It was decided she had less rights than a criminal.

While criminals got 3 meals a day and drink.

She got none.

May God have mercy on this once great nation.

Just saw the brother of Michael tell Joe Scarborough that the reason Michael is doing this is commitment and went on to say that is the problem with failed marriages....lack of commitment. Nice, coming from the brother of a man who is shacked up with a woman with 2 illigitimate children and who is demanding and forcing Terri to die in a hideous manner.

He could order the Police to take custody of her...and THEN face the problems in court.

But she would be alive....and not suffering.

I agree, but I just don't think he'll do it. And if we don't do something about renegade courts, we'll be in Court America.

R.,

We do value life.

It is the first major reason why we have a limited government.

We restrict the authority of government and its agents.

Students of NAZI Germany's rise to power and the NAZI's death camps, give anti-Semitism too much credit, when they should bother to make observations about the unlimited German government.

The Germans wanted a savior in government; "Yes! Please fix what's wrong. Something must be done about it!"; and so they picked somebody to rule absolutely, who in turn created a new government by decree, staffing it with people who did not value life.

There, on that note, is where anti-Semitism gained martial power - killing power.

Here in the States, now, yes, we do value life.

Yet we have some problems with the justice systems and the lawyers who play it as a game called "the legal system" instead of honoring it, which we rely upon - that is, we rely upon lawyers' honesty.

Unfortunately, we continue to find that we cannot rely upon lawyers' honesty.

We need some checks against the dishonest lawyers; it is they, that we must limit; their poor stewardship and judicial activism must be stopped from setting themselves up as a government by judiciary, and an unlimited one, at that.

We need those same checks, to prevent the staffing of the unlimited government by judiciary, with lawyers who do not value life.

bump decisive Jeb action, to protect this innocent woman at her time of greatest need, to keep her from being a sacrificial lamb for evil. I have no doubt Jeb would be proved correct in this action.

Beautiful thoughts as usual, my friend.

I find it unbelievable (to say the least) that none of these judges question the validity of the husband's claim, nor has any serious consideration been given to credible affidavits about abuse, and medical information about her state of consciousness.

What is wrong with letting her live, at least until these matters have been investigated. If she truly wanted to die (which I doubt), there would be plenty of time to honor her wishes.

I cannot believe this is happening. I haven't responded much to posts, but I am appalled.
