Bush decries border project

WACO, Texas -- President Bush yesterday said he opposes a civilian project to monitor illegal aliens crossing the border, characterizing them as "vigilantes." He said he would pressure Congress to further loosen immigration law. More than 1,000 people -- including 30 pilots and their private planes -- have volunteered for the Minuteman Project, beginning next month along the Arizona-Mexico border. Civilians will monitor the movement of illegal aliens for the month of April and report them to the Border Patrol. Mr. Bush said after yesterday's continental summit, with Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin at Baylor University, that he finds such actions unacceptable. "I'm against vigilantes in the United States of America," Mr. Bush said at a joint press conference. "I'm for enforcing the law in a rational way." The Minuteman Project was born out of a long-held perception among many residents that more Border Patrol agents are needed to handle the flow of illegal immigrants. Mr. Bush was criticized by both Republicans and Democrats earlier this month for failing to add 2,000 agents to the Border Patrol, as set out in the intelligence overhaul legislation he signed in December. The president's 2006 budget allows enough money to add only 210 agents for the U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico. Mr. Bush said he will "continue to push for reasonable, common-sense immigration policy." He has proposed legislation to grant guest-worker status to millions of illegal aliens already in the United States. The legislation has attracted scant support in Congress, where it is widely regarded as another amnesty that will encourage even more illegal immigration.

<< Too bad, Mr. President, but you're just plain wrong. You have a nation to protect - not a global economic bloc. >>

The cavilier attitude of our President toward America's Sovereign Borders and the flow of invading and increasingly-hostilely-colonizing criminal aliens through them is simply incomprehensible.

Is his problem that he knows the real problem -- that Mexico's obscenely-corrupt arse-deep-in-every-kind-of-criminality spanish-immigrant-kleptocracy has created an environment in which there are no places for the indigenous/Indian peoples who must either flee north or starve?

The real problem that no-one -- our President preeminent among them -- dares discuss?

Could Bush possibly get any worse?

Patriots WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING are BEFORE THE FACT "vigilantes."

Illegal aliens are "Guest Workers"

And he utters Klintonian phrases like ""I'm for enforcing the law in a rational way."

OUTFREAKINGRAGEOUS!!!

Bush's calling them "vigilantes" BEFORE THE FACT IS A CLEAR AUTHORIZATION TO HAVE THEM KILLED.

This will be WACO II and the beginning of the Second American Revolution.

President Bush is out of touch with reality concerning the Illegal Immigration situation. Three to four THOUSAND a DAY are pouring through the Cochise Country Mexican border a day. That's just in that area.

I don't know if President Bush thinks we love him more than we love our Country, but if he does, he is sadly mistaken.

Maybe we will get some accurate numbers as to who is coming across the border. The Gov has got to be against this for that simple reason alone.

"I'm for enforcing the law in a rational way."

Bush, we'd settle for just enforcing the law, period.

Bush and his fellow RINOs court the Hispanic vote (vainly) and realize that illegals provide slave labor for corporate interests who contribute to Republican coffers.

Indeed, government seems to be infested with greedy parasites who intend to profit from the destruction of America and all thoughts of personal liberty. One has to assume that those who own government have hired the minions they need to accomplish their goals.

Do you really believe that "75% of Americans will oppose" this effort? How many of them will even know about it?

And that's the problem. The MSM makes sure stories on hidden Amnesties inside unrelated legislation and other open border initiatives by our government gets as little press as possible.

Almost seems as though the destruction of our Republic is a common goal.

President Bush is out of touch with reality concerning the Illegal Immigration situation.

Actually he's 100% in touch with reality - he's just chosen the other side - the WTO/NAFTA/UN/Global Socialism side.

Could there be a more obvious case of him throwing fundamental American principles and beliefs in the trash? ANY nation that fails to protect its borders CEASES TO BE A NATION.

His father spoke of the "New World Order."

This is it.
