Yes, and Randall Terry is a big turn-off for many people.

People who are moreally asleep never really like being stirred. That's to be expected.

Kennedy was a big mistake on Pres. Reagan's part

He must have "grown" in office. I heard Mark Levin on a talk show promoting his book -- he said this seems to happen to the justices who spend their free time in DC and join in the DC social life -- I think he specifically named Kennedy and O'Connor. He said Scalia and Thomas don't -- they have other interests, too, and get away during breaks.

What there is not is a way for the Executive to simply override a judicial decision.

Pardon me?

"Most people are not following this as closely as we are here, and unfortunately, come down on the other side."

My mother said she'd never allow her girls (that would include me!) to live and look like that. When I'd share with her what I learned here, she blew it off because it came that 'that damned internet'. Just yesterday, when more of what we've known began being on the news, she said maybe what I was telling her a year ago was true. I think alot of folks are like my mom, only now understanding all this case embodies. A bit late for Terri tho.

My Husband and I spoke in detail last night about these issues and decided that if one of us become unable to speak for ourselves, the other three of us (we have 2 daughters) must have a consensus..if one of us feels there is hope, then we will support that belief.

Prayers for Terri, her family and friends. Also, prayers for Michael and his supporters, I know alot of them sincerely believe he is right.

How does this separate 2005 America from nazi Germany??

I guess you haven't read that William F. Buckley doesn't like us to mention the Nazis when discussing Terri. [sarcasm]

William F. Buckley
"It was unseemly for critics to compare her end with that of victims of the Nazi regime."

Buckley is slipping in my estimation.

My husband suggested that those who want to discuss organized starvation, but don't want to "offend" Buckley's refined sensibilities, could mention Andersonville, instead

>>>I'm hearing a backlash (on talk radio and even here) regarding this lack of action especially after the "bravado" of a special press conference yesterday to purposely tell people that it would be legal to take Terri into protective custody.>>>

I'm wondering what THAT was all about. Let's have a special press conference to let people know we can stop this, but then nothing? Just like everything else in this woman's situation, I don't get it.

I think there is plenty of blame to go around, but most of it belongs to the lying, cheating, murdering husband. This is happening on his orders. He could stop it at any time.

Her parents legal team started off with a bad pleading and never seemed to get it right.

Judge Greer is the out of control judge. The Federal Judges ruled on what they were given.

Why didn't someone get a better lawyers on the case

I hear Geeer refused to unseal hear medical records now

Yeah, but here's a real test: do you use "impact" as a verb?

I use impact as a whole sentence.

"I'm packed."

"Everytime I have seen this team on TV, I have shuddered"

I was completely disheartened when I heard one of the lawyers last night on TV, pleading with Governor Bush to do something. Why didn't they spend their time getting the legal help they needed, rather than all the TV time?

NEVER. It is a noun. I will reluctantly tolerate its use as an adjective ONLY by dentists when discussing teeth.

The Supreme Court won't touch this case in a million years.

Why? What do we have one for then?

As the enforcement arm for the ACLU. Where have you been?

1) Terri received many years of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and rehabilitive care without any improvment in her condition. Why do you think she was on a 'feeding tube' to begin with. She has no ability to swallow independently.

2) An autopsy would demonstrate what areas of the brain were damaged and to what extent. It would even show whether or not CSF and scar tissue had replaced the areas of her brain allowing her to feel pain, talk, and have cognitive abilities. The autoposy would provide data that a MRI, CT scan, or xray could not.

Terri's husband spent $100,000 have thalamic stimulators implanted in her brain in an experimental effort restore her brain activities in the early 1990's. Does that sound like a man who was disinterested in his wife's rehabilitation?

Well, whenever I hear it used as a verb ("That sermon really impacted me!"), I invariably give out a "Ewwww."
