Confirming what we reported earlier today, ABC News has admitted that it knows nothing about the origins of the "GOP talking points" memo that it first published. An ABC source writes:
the memo discussed a republican bill and was distributed to repulbican senators. That's what we reported. we are obviously not going to divulge our multiple sources. I appeciate your questions, but believe you are approaching this from the wrong end. We asked numerous sources - all confirmed that senators had received the memo in conjunction with one of the bills on the floor. For three days none of those sources has given us any reason to think there is more to the memo than a particularly naked expression of the politics of Shivo case.Try to ignore the spelling. ABC first reported the memo as a bombshell that disclosed Republican strategy. Now it says that it the memo "discussed a republican bill" and was "distributed to [some] repulbican senators." Whatever ABC may think of the "politics of the Shivo [sic] case," the network admits that it knows nothing about who authored and distributed the memo.
It sure is :0)

Hey, did you hear old Pete Jennings has sexual relations with barnyard animals? Got lots of memos to prove it. Of course, I've also got a constitutional right to keep my sources secret, cuz I'm a journalist, ie. I scribble for newspapers or run my mouth on TV. Oh yeah, I almost forgot -- Hillary Clinton is actually a trained chimpanzee that had extensive plastic surgery. Got memos and secret sources for that too.
From an earlier report:
ABC News identified four errors in the document, each noted with a (sic). The first such error is in the very first word, a misspelling of Terri Schiavo's name.
From ABC's latest comments:
For three days none of those sources has given us any reason to think there is more to the memo than a particularly naked expression of the politics of Shivo case.
And yet didn't we just read the other day that quite a few senators said they'd never seen it?
For those who havent seen this thread [please bump it for me ;)]

ping!
As I read this, ABC is leaving open the possibility that they wrote & distributed the memo themselves.
Try to ignore the spelling. ABC first reported the memo as a bombshell that disclosed Republican strategy. Now it says that it the memo "discussed a republican bill" and was "distributed to [some] repulbican senators." Whatever ABC may think of the "politics of the Shivo [sic] case," the network admits that it knows nothing about who authored and distributed the memo.Well, then, that makes them LIARS doesn't it?
But who's surprised by this? Certainly not me.
They're trying to keep up with the King of Liars!
The guy that thinks that clintoon's "honest", but who
thinks that Bush is not.
Media Research Center:
Dan Rather on Bill Clinton:
"I think hes an honest man."OReilly: "I want to ask you flat out, do you think President Clintons an honest man?"
Rather: "Yes, I think hes an honest man."
OReilly: "Do you, really?"
Rather: "I do."
OReilly: "Even though he lied to Jim Lehrers face about the Lewinsky case?"
Rather: "Who among us has not lied about something?"
OReilly: "Well, I didnt lie to anybodys face on national television. I dont think you have, have you?"
Rather: "I dont think I ever have. I hope I never have. But, look, its one thing-"
OReilly, jumping in: "How can you say hes an honest guy then?"
Rather: "Well, because I think he is. I think at core hes an honest person. I know that you have a different view. I know that you consider it sort of astonishing anybody would say so, but I think you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things."
OReilly: "Really?!?"
Rather: "Yeah, I do."
OReilly: "See, I cant. I want my government to be honest across-the-board. I dont want people lying."
Aha! Curiouser and curiouser...
No question or concern as to who gave them the memo...
Wow! Just when I thought that the MSM/Dems couldn't get more desparate or stupid, along comes this!
BTTT
for what it is worth
I think that pretty much explains the career of Dan Rather.
extensive plastic surgery?
Sue the doctor!
"MSM Requiescat in fracta!"
Actually, Jennings has been having relationships with Helen Thomas for over 3 decades.
I think that pretty much explains the career of Dan Rather.Yep! Say goodnight, Dick! (er, Dan).
