I was feeling a little amused when I wrote it.
Friday also begins the Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena.
Night, with ebon pinion, brooded oer the vale;
All around was silent, save the night winds wail,
When Christ, the Man of Sorrows,
In tears, and sweat, and blood,
Prostrate in the garden, raised His voice to God.
Smitten for offenses which were not His own,
He, for our transgressions, had to weep alone;
No friend with words to comfort,
Nor hand to help was there,
When the Meek and Lowly humbly bowed in prayer.
Abba, Father, Father, if indeed it may,
Let this cup of anguish pass from Me, I pray;
Yet, if it must be suffered, by Me, Thine only Son,
Abba, Father, Father, let Thy will be done.

He told them to go home and eat? How cruel.
That's exactly what I was thinking at mass this evening. The question has been called by God and there is no ducking it. You are on one side or the other. Make your choice and be prepared to accept the consequences. This whole turn of events....Terri's starvation, Good Friday, Pope on his last legs, Feast of Annunciation coinciding w/ Good Friday has got to have some very deep moral message for all of us. Tomorrow, we'll hear the words, "I THIRST"....wow....When I hear them I'm going to be thinking of Terri. I can't even put into words what I'm feeling...it's impossible.
Judge James Whittemore is cruel. He mocked attorney Gibbs and the Schindlers. He is cold and heartless just like his good friend Greer.
I'm here friends..been here; just don't have much to say right now. Thanks everyone for your posts.
Good God Almighty, give us strength.
My thoughts exactly!
I have, too.
We sure are nanetteclaret! You go rest now and we will hold down the fort. God bless you!
I think the democrats have made a concerted effort to infultrate onto fox. They want to make sure there is always a D counter to any R.
It USED to be Fox News WAS equal time to the MSM leftism. Now (particularly with Gretta, OReily and Smith) it seems they just are just repacking MSM lines in fox graphics.
I am very worried for Terri with good reason. I'd prefer to discuss and debate the facts rather then being a prayer warrior because it is uplifting. It is useless IMHO. All I am saying is that there should be a separate thread for Terri "prayer warriors" and one for those who want to talk and plan strategy rather then pray.
ROFLOL!!
We can pray and discuss the issues too. Each time we read through the prayers, we're praying along with the poster. Like the fishes and loaves of bread, it multiplies. :)
I have been gone for a hour or so . Any new news?
Did Whittmore just want to have this hearing so he could pierce Christ's side?
Ther are other Terri threads out there that are discussing the politics and legal ramifications, etc. We want to discuss it AND pray. Otherwise we'd end up having to go to other threads, as well.
You could start another thread. :)
It's alright, SoCar...we'll pray for you, too! ; )
"Re: Your Empire Journal link - According to state statutes, DCF does not need a court's approval to initially take an endangered individual into protective custody. They can first remove the person and obtain emergency medical services and then file for additional protection for the individual in the courts.
Case law precedent was established in 1972 decision by the 2nd District Court of Appeals.
So, how is it that this is being ignored, the DCF backing off taking charge of this situation with Terri? And Jeb's attorneys not enforcing the DCF's rights?
Is it because Terri has already been "sentenced" to death?"
This is interesting. Does anyone have a fax to send it to Jeb Bush, or even Attorney Gibbs. I wonder if these people even read TheEmpireJournal. If they don't, they are nuts. TEJ does most of the work for them.
