This Year's Nomination for AMALEK
Cinnamon Girl

Posted on 03/23/2005 4:55:46 PM PST by Cinnamon Girl

Remember what Amalek did to you, on the way when you were leaving Egypt, that he happened upon you on the way, and he struck those of you who were hindmost, all the weaklings at your rear, when you were faint and exhausted, and he did not fear God. It shall be that when Hashem, your God, gives you rest from all your enemies all around, in the Land that Hashem, your God, gives you as an inheritance to possess it, you shall wipe out the memory of Amalek from under the heaven-- you shall not forget! -- Deuteronomy 25: 17-19.

Notice that G-d defines the evil nation as those who would attack the weakest, the sick or elderly, the ones who would slag behind. Notice that G-d's people do not abandon their weak and slow, dumping them somewhere so they don't hold the able-bodied back. The G-d fearing include all the living in their community. Amalek, the epitomization of evil, do not fear G-d, and therefore see no wrong in picking off the weakest of those they seek to attack.

Some generations, and some years, it is very clear what the spiritual or physical manifestation of Amalek is that we face. The filthy nazis were pure evil and that is apparent to most today. But in their time, most of the German citizens went along with the laws which were morally wrong, because that was the LAW. Still, there were brave souls, G-d fearing souls most likely, who risked their own lives and BROKE THE LAW to hide Jews under the floorboards of their homes or in the hay lofts of their barns. Why? Because, in spite of the evil tide of the nazi culture at that time, there remained people who recognized what the founders of America recognized: there are G-d given rights to life and liberty and no man made laws can supercede G-d's laws.

The spiritual Amalek we face today is the culture of death which says that a woman can be starved to death because her husband decided on a whim that it would be best. This culture is in the law that is so blind to the G-d given right to life, so clear to so many of us, that it will FORBID a chip of ice to a dehydrating human being and have arrested anyone who would dare to save this human being's life. This culture applauds a movie that endorses actually murdering someone who decides their life isn't worth living. This culture makes it the law that a viable baby, able to live outside the womb, can be ripped apart and tossed in the trash if it has a cleft lip and palette.

We have to fight against this form of Amalek, because it can and will destroy the good of the American culture.

It's weird the timing of things around Purim. Remember that the first Gulf War began during Purim.

First They Came for the Jews
First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

The roots of the Holocaust were in Nazi medical experimentation and euthanasia policy. They started by euthanizing "useless eaters." Then they branched out into inferior races. The Jews, the Gypsies, the Poles. It all goes back to the euthanasia movement, the purpose of which was to weed out the unfit and purify the race. Eventually, if they had not been stopped, they would have gone down into Africa and exterminated the blacks.

That's one reason why Germany has been behind the curve on all this "right to die" stuff--because they still feel guilty about what they did earlier.

Haman was a decendant of Amalek, same with Hitler.

And remember that Lincoln was shot on Good Friday, which is approaching.

If Terri dies on Good Friday, I think it's a message from G-d. (And I'm Jewish, Good Friday isn't anything to me)

I think the cult of Molech is alive and well too. Molech had a thirst for the blood of children. How many unborn children are sacrificed daily? As you say, Ameleck has a thirst for the old and weak-two sides of the same coin. Isn't it interesting how the proponents of abortion also show up for the euthanasia rallies? It's the "me" generation (really they've been there for every generation) trying to protect their precious "lifestyle," and they won't let the young, old, and weak get in their way.

Together Molech and Ameleck are the cult of death, and they have always been with us. All we can do is oppose evil whenever we are confronted with it.

I just realized I didn't explain the Amalek connection with referernce to this week in my post. This past Sabbath, all Jews were required to hear a reading of the above paragraph about Amalek. Why? Because we must remember what evil is for all time. Why do we read it this week? Because this Thursday night/Friday is the celebration of Purim, the day the Jews of Persia fought off their enemies who were ordered to rise up against the Jews by the king's advisor, Haman the Amalekite.

I've heard that great quote before but didn't know the source of it.

The real villain is the concept of mercy to the cruel. King Saul lost his monarchy because he spared the last descendant of Amalek, Agag.

Those who are kind to the cruel cause cruelty to the kind. It's as obvious and clear as the laws of gravity.

There are only two words which have ever led to peace in this world: "unconditional surrender".

Appeasers delenda est.

I advise against naming ancient biblical races or taking or provoking aggressive action against people THOUGHT to be members of ancient biblical races, or those THOUGHT to be in Revelation. This is the stuff of homicidal whackos. Psalm 137 (if I remember correctly) makes reference to a man being "happy" if he smashes an Amkalite baby against a rock. The stuff of whackos. Yes. Remember.

Vengeance is mine and mine alone.--God

CG: I notice alot of comments about ancient Amkelites being "evil" which is probably true. But remember that killing Amkelite babies as described in Psalm 137 is evil too, no?

You should hate to say that. No one should be murdered. You should ask to have that post deleted. And please try to remember that Jews only make up 1-2% of the American population, so if you don't like things culturally, try to spread that blame around.

Maybe Shushan will begin its liberation from the mullahs on Purim.

I don't understand your point. The commandment to remember Amalek is as real today as it was two thousand years ago. And yes, ALL the Amalekites were to be wiped out. Hence, the correct above quote from another poster who points out that misplaced mercy, saving the king of Amalek, led to further destruction.

Please do not misrepresent my words. I said this is a spiritual Amalek we are facing, and I do not advocate physical harm to anyone.

What is the source for those being Amalekite babies in Psalm 137? The way I read it, it's talking about the conquerers of Jerusalem that killed our babies.

A demonic spirit of death hangs over us and has fooled so many who should know better.
