A state judge issued an emergency order Wednesday to keep the Department of Children & Families from taking any action that would reconnect Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube. George Felos, the attorney for Michael Schiavo, asked Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer to issue the order Wednesday while the judge considers a request from DCF and Gov. Bush to take custody of Terri Schiavo.

Hear, hear! FReepers should make it our business to see that this man is OPPOSED vehemently in his next run for office! I don't live in Fla, but I fer one would give money to any credible opponent who will run against him!
That's clearly a delaying tactic -- the footdragging is simply done in hope that Mrs. Schiavo is in extremis and will expire before the time of the hearing, which would of course be conducted at a snail's pace.
Greer is conflicted in other ways as well. Check out his association with other members of the board of this hospice, past and present. They're all in it.
Normally, a fair-minded and honest jurist would recuse himself from sitting on a case of this gravity when there is the merest appearance of a conflict of interest. Greer's adamant (and virulent) refusal to do so is telling.
Saw talking head lawyer confirm it,
That lawyer was making me sick,he was all smiles.He said that judge Greer is such a good judge, he will consider the new evidence from DCF carefully but it won't change his mind.
How can he be a good judge if he knows ahead of time that no matter the new evidence he will not change his mind.

Me too and am loving it more all the time! When they were getting ready to close Kelly AFB in San Antonio, we had a choice -- Oklahoma, Georgia, or Florida. Kids and I voted for Oklahoma and Norman because of the University and am I glad.

Presumably so he can have a hearing on the calendar to fool Governor Bush into doing nothing for another 24 hours, during which time Terri is closer to dying if not dead . . .
Or maybe he knows they have a case and he has to do it under law (as if he cares?). . . in which case having Terri in protective custody tonight would not hurt . . .
No but he has issued a restraining order preventing the removal of Terri by DCF.
I really wish someone could explain the interplay with that and emergency removal procedures.
The restraining order cannot possibly be as to cover all emergencies.

I think that Felos is making the call which calls into question what is he and his hospice hiding in addition to Terri? What does Felos have on Greer?

When Bush was on TV ... he asked the attorney there to answer to make sure it was correct. The attorney said the DFC COULD do it. Wow, talk about down to the last second. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR??????????????????????????????
