A state judge issued an emergency order Wednesday to keep the Department of Children & Families from taking any action that would reconnect Terri Schiavos feeding tube. George Felos, the attorney for Michael Schiavo, asked Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer to issue the order Wednesday while the judge considers a request from DCF and Gov. Bush to take custody of Terri Schiavo.

This may explain the delay.
Vermin.
The baby-boomers should be verrrry worried....
Outrageous - if anyone finds his email addy - please pass it along!
BOTH have a lot to gain from the death of Terri.....BOTH have EVERYTHING to LOSE from the continued existence/recovery/discovery of Terri.
They have NO redeeming qualities.
They are 'driven' by their masters, who want them to open the floodgates of hell.
The guardianship should have been changed the day the husband began a flagrant adulterous relationship with another woman and fathered her children.
I read the figure that they are getting sued for is in excess of 14 million.
And coincidentially, one of Greer's main contributors in the last election, Schiavo's lawyer Felos, was the Director of this hospice in 2000-2001. What a wicked little web down there in Pinellas County.
This is exactly right. Of course, the Florida Legislature is far from powerless here. It can, and should, begin impeachment proceedings against Greer.
I read the law. What's your point? Thanks.
I'd say that is pretty accurate. Except, perhaps, for Scalia. Scalia is the man.
I think many of them will be hounded to the grave. There is too much passion by folks over this to see this pass into the shadows.
I just emailed every RINO senator who voted against Terri today.
"Ladies, and Gentlemen of the Senate,
I address you as such because of the nature of your position in government. I hope to never have to address you as such in the future, because of your disgusting vote against life for Terri Schiavo.
There are many of us Republicans who don't mind working our tails off to ensure that RINOs don't have to face the pressures of reelection, due to their defeats in the party primaries.
I am absolutely appalled that every one of you claimed some religious affiliation, and yet you so shamelessly voted for the agenda of the culture of death.
Are these decisions difficult? Absolutely. Anyone who's over 45 has had to face gut-wrenching, life or death decisions with family members. BUT, in every case there should be a prejudice in favor of life!
Your prejudice in favor of death is identical to that of Peter Singer and the liberals who ushered in the current 'quality of life' and 'personhood' fictions that have become de rigeur amongst Democrats. Since you have sided with this 'unholy' alliance, don't take it personally when we work our butts off to defeat you prior to the next election."
Who cares what the fat one thinks. Money is lifeblood to pols. When his lifeblood gets thin, he'll care then!
What kind of conflict of interest does this judge have in this case?
I have had that problem all day -- some people either won't listen or they don't comprehend. I will back you up -- DCF has that call and it is up to them to go in and take custody.
The poster is from CA. Give him a break. :-0
I posted the law, Kemosabe.

It's an emergency removal.
No court permission needed.
No court authority to stop it.
He's a control freak
