This is an "emergency intervention", I'd say.

Florida Law: "a representative of the department and a law enforcement officer may forcibly enter the premises".
Time to go in with law enforcement.

I wish they would just do it. Save her life, hide her from Michael Schiavo so he can't have her killed and argue about it later.

I heard a court issued an restraining order against anyone trying to remove Terri. Would the DCF have to abide by that order?

the department shall petition the court for an order authorizing the provision of protective services. Sadly, this has been denied.

Key phrase, "the department shall petition the court ". The department isn't going to get a court order. Ain't happening.

Go for it Governor Bush! Use EXECUTIVE ORDER at least to STABILIZE her with an I-V
(there AREN'T even any judicial orders against THAT!)
Then ALSO give her 60 days of swallowing therapy. Terri would be swallowing out of a baby bottle right away, just like she used to do for Carla Iyers
To: tomahawk
Did they have to go through the non emergency petition before they could go through the emergency procedures.
Like tonight.
To: tomahawk
They sieze Terri and re-insert the tube, and within 14 days a judge throws the case out.
It'll probably be more like 14 hours.
To: tomahawk
Thanks for looking it up.

Criminal...
Gabriel Keys (foreground) is arrested by police officers for
trespassing in Pinellas Park, Florida, March 23, 2005. The
young protester attempted to take a glass of water into
the Woodside Hospice for the brain-damaged Terri Schiavo.
A federal judge approved the murder of Terri Schiavo by
rejecting a request from her parents to order her feeding
tube reinserted to save her life. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/050323/ids_photos_ts/r4209066064.jpg

By this info, not only is Greer OBLIGATED to step aside for DCF to do their job, but the is OBLIGATED to furnish them with the proper paperwork to not impede their lawful, mandated duty.

I'm FED UP TO THE TEETH with JUDGES, fire them all!
Now the American Public knows how screwed up our Courts are.
Reelect No JUDGES!

Hmmmm. So, DCF can go in on an emergency basis and remove Terri. They must get the caregiver or guardian's permission unless he/she a threat to Terri.
The issue must then come before a judge. For some reason, all the judicial motions seem to get funneled into Greer's court. However, in this case, Greer appointed himself guardian concerning the issue of removal of the feeding tube, right? So, if Greer is the threat to Terri's life, he can't preside over the DCF case.
For this to work in the long run, DCF better have its ducks in a row concerning the abuse issues. If not, Terri will be back in the same position in short order.
