Exactly how can our immigration laws get any more lenient? It doesn't matter what kind of laws we may have on the books if they're not enforced. I would say allowing several million people to immigrate illegally with no repercussions is pretty darn lenient!

The only way it could be more lenient, is if we sent the buses to pick them up.

Disgusting. I like GWB but not on this issue. What part of the word ILLEGAL does he not understand.

Let them come in legally and screened then go home.

** President Bush told Mexican President Vicente Fox on Wednesday that he would keep pushing for more lenient immigration laws..**
=====
As if our immigration laws have ANY meaning??? As if they are enforced?? As if the Congress appears to even care??? This is a sham and travesty upon the American people of untold proportions.

"You've got my pledge - I'll continue working on it," Bush told Fox

GW should consider the pledge he made to the American people at his inauguration - that he would uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and it's laws.

"I'm against vigilantes," Bush said. "That's why you got a border patrol, and they ought to be in charge of enforcing the border."

And Bush sides with the illegals and Fox against Americans (vigilantes) again.
Disgraceful!

Why is it that whenever Fox is around it's Bush who dons the kneepads and crawls under the desk to do the Monica?

GWB has so much right, how could he get this so wrong.

No more Illegals; No more making illegals legal by changing the law of the land.

Somebody give me just a small reason why we should be over-run by foreigners; have open borders for terrorist to cross while American soldiers die elsewhere to keep them away.

Real obvious wrong.

Bush just doesn't get it. I hope Tancredo runs in 2008. If he doesn't take the GOP primary he should run as an independant. Maybe that would scare the GOP into taking illegal immigration seriously.

This country is finished. The whole 200+ years thrown out to help my landscaper buy a 70,000 Pickup truck.

What laws? There are 10.3 millins illegal criminal aliens in the US. Only W is less concerned with US laws than they are! The cost to the US of this flagrant violation of US sovreignty WILL be extraordinary!

Not the least cost to the US is the fact that unlimited supplies of very cheap labor artificially depress wage rates and put millions of young US blacks permanently in the ranks of the unemployed. The black pimp thug leaders and their dem masters like it this way but, it will mean trouble in the future. The cost to taxpayers of the services for these millions of aliens (who send most of thier disposable cash home rather than spend it here) is mindboggling and will force millions of middle class US retirees into poverty as their homes are seized ffor non-payment of property taxes.

W, wake up, smell the coffee!!

Can't get more lenient than what we have now...it's virtually an open door as it is. The Feds are going to have a lot to answer for...

Bush seems determined to kiss off completely his conservative base. Suspect there aren't all that many left.

Bush said his goal is to match workers with jobs.

It's not working. The illegals in my city are sucking the social programs dry, being instructed on how to do this by the Catholic Church. The only jobs they do is to walk to the welfare office with their girlfriends. Thanks, George.

"More lenient . . laws." (Jaw dropping) Are the BP agents going to offer the service of lifting our, uh, 'guests' on & off one another as they do the horizontal mambo under our desert moon? "Senor, thirsty? Sauza?"
Bienvenidos y adios! Come again pronto, ya hear!

The ability to control one's own borders is a salient attribute of national sovereignty. I love the guy, but someone needs to have a heart-to-heart with the prez on this one. He's in left field.
