Mother arrested for attempting to intervene in her 14-year old's decision to have abortion

For legal reasons, the names of the family and the 14-year old girl that are the subject of this story have been withheld at this time.

GRANITE CITY - A Sothern Illinois woman was arrested last week (March 17) after trying to intervene on behalf of her 14-year old daughter's effort to have an abortion. The girl was allegedly taken to an abortion clinic by the mother of the man allegedly to have impregnated the 14-year old.

According to the girl's mother, her 14-year old daughter was called off from school in Madison County by a woman posing as the girl's “grandmother.” The woman took the girl from her home only minutes before the girl’s mother returned home from work.

It was later determined that the woman who had posed as the "grandmother" to the school authorities was the mother of the male who had fathered the unborn child the 14-year old girl was carrying. The age of the male has not been released.

When the parents were notified their pregnant daughter was not at school, they suspected she had been taken to the Hope Abortion Clinic in Granite City. The parents and grandfather were the only persons authorized to request school absence for the fourteen year old female.

“My husband and I rushed to the abortion clinic where we saw our daughter’s name on the roster and the time she had checked in,” the mother said. She then went into the clinic and searched a room filled with young women awaiting abortions but did not see her daughter.

She took a seat near the main desk and said, “I was told I could not prove my daughter was there so I began calling her name. A medical tech at the clinic told me , ‘It’s your daughter’s rights, it’s her body. You have no rights.’”

After continuing to call out her daughter’s name and telling her “don’t do it,” authorities were called and the mother was arrested.

The 14-year old told her mother she could hear her but when she asked employees to give her mother a message, they came back to the room and told her that her mother had left.

Angela Michaels, of Small Victories Ministry, was tipped off as to what was happending at the Hope clinic. According to Michaels, she witnessed police placing the mother’s hands behind her back, taking her into custody. As the police were putting the mother in the squad car, she was crying out, “Please, please, help me...my daughter is in there.”

Michaels said, “Exactly one hour later at 10:35 a.m., the 14-year old emerged from the clinic looking disheveled. The 14-year old told us that employees kept her in a quiet room until the procedure was performed and she was told that her mother had left.”

Employees assured this girl on her departure, “No-one will ever know you were here, we’ll bury your records.”

In the meantime, the woman who had taken the girl for the abortion was slipped out the back door of the clinic.

The police in the community in which the family lives allegedly told the girl's mom that they couldn't intervene despite her making a charge that her daughter had been raped (by statute) because the charge was stale--7 weeks after the incident. They did tell the girl's mom that, while she had no right to stop the abortion, she did have a right to go into the clinic and speak to her daughter.

The parents are expected to file charges.

The only thing the so called 'people' in that clinic care about is killing babies. They think they acting in an honorable fashion, which they are...in the eyes of the devil himself. They are decieved by him. There is no other plausible explanation for this behavior to be exhibited by so many.

Most women who have had abortions are not traumatized by it. And those who are, generally had serious emotional problems to begin with and/or were subjected to brainwashing by anti-abortion activists who kept pressuring them to "realize" they were traumatized. Kind of like those repressed memory "therapists" who routinely manage to convince people that they had all sorts of traumatic events in their past that never really happened. Furthermore, lots of women who had babies they didn't want are traumatized -- either by having been forced to give up the baby, or by living under the constant stress of trying to raise a child they aren't emotionally or financially equipped to raise, while mourning for the life they (and their children) might have had if they had postponed childbearing until they were ready.

That is correct my fellow parents, we have no rights in this issue...

The school needs parental permission to give your child an aspirin. But murder your unborn grandchild? No permission needed there.

This is sick and as a parent I cannot promise I would not resort to vigilantism.

Apparently the culture of death, owns our Courts, owns many, many politicians and owns the MSM. They kill babies, they kill the helpless, they kill whom ever they please,(except for convicted murderers whom they want to live to ripe old ages) and there is not one single lawful thing we can do about it.

The death cult or their representatives in the court system always have the final say, and what they say is, "Screw you and your moral values!"

Moral Absolutes Ping.

For some reason this one really gets to me. I am sick beyond belief. This country, thanks to leftist/moral relativist/feminazi/etc etc judges and other influential people, is now officially defunct, over, kaput, gone by the wayside, a memory.

Where is personal responsibility? Where are God-given rights? Where is decency, where are parents' natural rights? Where are sobriety, truth, mercy, justice? Where is simple kindness, simple honesty, respect for life? Where is the humble acknowledgement that God is the rule and lawmaker, and we His charges?

This is so shameful, so 100% demoniac, that nothing less than the damn "clinic" being closed, everyone involved being sued within an inch of their lives, and doing time for breaking the law will satisfy me.

What do these leftists want? Obviously they want total and absolute control over everyone, with them as the ruling class. They want an ant society.

Let me know if anyone wants (back) on/off this pinglist.

"Why aren't the police investigating? If his mother is involved, I'd be suspicious."

Investigate what? Where's the evidence?

Also, in most states, there has to be a difference of 5 years in age for it to be illegal (or a felony, I forget). If he was 16, this is going nowhere.

Maybe the boy's mother could be harassed, but I don't know if a prosecutor would bother.

She went "willingly"? But she's a CHILD? I don't the legal definition of kidnapping is either BUT pedophiles and kidnappers have been luring children forever with promises of candy, a ride, to help find a lost dog.

They "went willingly"! My bet is that the legal definition of kidnapping is a lot less loosely defined than the laws that give girl CHILDREN the "right" to have an abortion without consent.

The girl, I'm certain, had the LEGAL (God help us all) right to have the abortion. The qustion is was this unrelated, unsanctioned "grandmother" (if it's just a "fetus" how can she be defined as the "grandmother") breaking the law by taking this child from the school?

With all the laws surrounding our school systems these days I'm sure she broke the law. As sure as I am that she won't be prosecuted.

As a parent (if I didn't kill this B**** first) I'd sue her in civil court for . . . something. I don't know what but I'm pretty sure a pro-life lawyer, if he didn't take the case because he thought he could win, would take it for the publicity.

Give me a freaking break! I don't want to meet the woman that isn't traumatized by killing her child!

Is that pro-death statistics you're quoting?

That's like saying Andrea Yates was "traumatized" by postpartum depression, not by drowning all of her children.

Until I read this story, I firmly believed people like Eric Rudolph (abortion mill bomber) were horrible people that do evil.

I honestly USED to believe that.

Sometimes it takes acts committed by bad people to put a stop to acts committed by monsters.

"Isn't it odd that the Supreme Court won't allow the death penalty for anyone under the age of 18, supposedly based on the fact that their cognitive powers have not reached maturity. I guess a 17 year old is just too immature to know right from wrong. But the same kids are mature enough to decide about abortion. Sheesh!"

Or to put it more starkly: A 14-year-old isn't old enough to receive the death penalty, but old enough to give it to her unborn child.

The difference is this: if the woman showed up and said "hey, come with me" without the girl knowing why, it's kidnapping plain and simple.

If this was prearranged and the woman was helping her do something she wanted to do, then it's a gray area.

Frankly its semantics. Arrest the b--ch. Now.
