I wrote this to a FReeper earlier. She was feeling much frustration with many here I believe because of what was, in her mind, a careless disregard for morality and the well-being of an innocent and quite defenseless girl, Terri Schiavo.
The intelligent and good FReeper was at the point of wanting to leave FR. So I wrote her:

I'm getting a feeling (or a wish) that today (Wednesday) the Federal marshals or some others are going to take control of this abysmal situation. Unlike the Elian Gonzalez catastrophe, this will be for the good of a human being.
Maybe in the future it can be referred to as 'Good Wednesday'. Because the more I learn about this entire case, this girl has been done wrong since the very beginning and things must be righted. What is happening now must end....... well.

I implore all who care about the wrongness of all this to contact the White House, contact anyone who could have something to do with getting action TODAY. There can not be any more wasted time and destruction of this innocent girl. If this husband is much of what we suspect, this matter should not be allowed to end in her death by these brutal means!
Some questions for the Florida State Legislature:
Would he/she bet his/her life on Michael Schiavo's honesty?
Why do criminals in FL get more due process than a law-abiding citizen of the state?
Do people in a PVS have the same Constitutional rights as the rest of us?
If she dies, and we later learn that her husband lied, can the Florida State Legislature bring someone back from the dead?
I believe those who accepted it in order for the bill to pass acted in good faith and perhaps naively hoped for the best from the courts.
If I don't see theU.S. MarshalsFREEDOM LOVING AMERICAN CITIZENS taking Terri away to a hospital today and reinserting her tube, it's all over.

Hon, I grew up in the fifties and saw the sixties. Civil disobedience has its place. I just want no part of it. But that is just me.
And when I hear talk of "revolution" and encouragement to go man the barricades, bring water etc, my blood runs cold. But that is just me.
Perhaps I used the wrong word. I don't think anyone is conspiring. I think encouraging, stirring the pot, whipping up actions based on feelings. That is my observation.
And don't get snippy with me. I know the distinction quite well. And this is not a court of law where you get to demand I substantiate anything.
The ultimate right is the "right to live".
This talk about a "right to die" is BS. What the MSM and others who promote such a thing are really promoting a "right to kill".
USA said: "I have a friend who lives in Pinellas County. She is going to be at the hospice today and protest by bringing water. I can not tell anymore about her but she may make the news. If so, she is ready to go to jail because she believes this must be done. I am, at this moment, checking into a plane flight to Tampa International from Missouri. Should be there sometime around noon. Will hopefully be there with many others. I am retired and do not fear being fired from work and do not fear the consequences of my actions. Beginning March 18, 2005, Terri Schindler-Schiavo will be starved to death by order of the State of Florida. The gross injustices of the judicial decisions and the gross inequities of the actions of her husband and guardian, Michael Schiavo, leading up to this point have been well documented and are beyond dispute.
It now appears that all legal recourse to save Terri’s life has failed. As Terri’s family and millions of people know, the State is wrong. There is a higher law. If last ditch efforts in the Florida Legislature and the United States Congress also fail, and the administration of Governor Jeb Bush fails in its duty to uphold the higher law, those closest to Terri—her family, friends, and members of their communities of care—are morally free to contemplate and take extra-legal action as they deem it necessary to save Terri’s life, up to and including forcible resistance to the State’s coercive and unjust implementation of Terri’s death by starvation. The Christian community and all people of good conscience, rather than accepting the State’s actions with the small consolation that “everything that could be done was done,” should acknowledge the true horizon of morally acceptable responses, and should actively encourage and support all such responses when taken by those with immediate responsibility for Terri’s care and wellbeing.

I do not believe advocating revolution is going to keep you posting on this board. If that is your intent and wish, you are right to leave FR because nobody here is lawless, or that is not the intent of people here. Go get yourself involved in revolution elsewhere. Just my opinion.
Then you better go back and read some posts hon. There are quite a few people demanding that the politicians break the law to save her, while they opine from their keyboards.

The legislature is no longer the best option as they move too slowly.
The president can write an executive order to get Terri into a hospital immediately. It is not breaking any law to do so. The judge can still take time to ruminate over this case. This action would not interfere with the judge. And since Greer already flaunted a Congressional subpoena his ruling is highly questionable.

Contacting the president and ask him to write an executive order immediately. Also, contact Gov. Jeb Bush asking him to take Terri into protective custody – see contact info below:

"I'm not sure we can get it done here in Florida," Martinez quoted (Gov.) Bush as saying just after a new Schiavo measure stalled in the Florida Legislature. "Do whatever you can federally."
This is the Governor of Florida calling for help. Any notion that the Feds have no Constitutional business there is malarky.

He said he was leaving and I concurred. Yes, there are people advocating just that, that others break the law including people in government. I just don't think that is a good idea.
Because the natural trend is to drift toward the middle. People in a majority feel more freedom to change their views to define the center, while a minority that feels embattled will stand their ground. Rehnquist was more conservative before Reagan made his nominations than after.
But that's the Supreme Court. Look at the 2-1 split on the Schiavo case... not what anyone would have predicted by their nominators.
