Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
I really feel so bad and sad for all the freepers who are hurting so badly over this.
Its like slow torture for many of you out there !

I thought Michael was/is a nurse. And, I thought I read somewhere that he was the jail nurse.
Not only that, but I think I read somewhere around here that he wants to spread them somewhere - over Pennsylvania, I think.
Terri's husband belongs to the evil hideous satan of hell! And he will probably join him upon his death after he enjoys his luxurious life of his dead wifes money!

Re: the comments on Gibb's lawyering being determinate in Whittemore's handling of the case and now the 11th Circuit - all for the bad for Terri...
There are other briefs filed in the case by interested parties. They emphasize the de novo...at least one did that I read. And there is the text of the law itself that was passed recently.
Maybe I'm wrong, but the case is what it is, Gibb's or no Gibb's. Don't know what this court will do, but if they otherwise would have favored Terri if Gibbs had been better, but instead they show their disdain for Gibbs by killing Terri? She didn't write the brief for cryin' out loud...

It's tough on us, but unfortunately the slow torture is all poor Terri's.
That is what bothers me a great deal. I am angry that as a society we have gone so low as to be prejudiced toward death, but I still cannot bring myself to believe if given the Truth we would as a majority choose Death. The MSM has played on their ignorance, and if we had time, we could make the truth heard. The MSM is not all powerful but with so little time they have the advantage.
neither has this been a split partyline divide. It cross boundaries. Liberals and conservatives have joined up on both sides. It's only among our elected Reps we discern the divide, as clearly the overwhelming majority of Reps supported Life while the Dems were split.
Daley probably surprises me the least. While Daley is a Lib, his son recently joined the military and they supported him rather than ostracized him for doing so. Some Libs HAVE turned on their children for doing so. I'm coming to view Daley in a favorable light as a human being as result of his recent statements and his treatment of his son.

Is there a political taking sides issue involved here, or not? And if so, why? Are Dems then shouting from the rooftops that they hold a lower value to a human life than Repubs? Is there any other way to spin this, if there is a political dynamic working here?
