Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
I agree with you on that. Nationally, we have failed. Never thought I'd be ashamed of my beloved America.
You are certainly right about that. But, there is still time and hope.
I am convinced that Free Republic is God's website.

That's one of the things I believe God is using Terri for - to show us the wrong, and point us to the right.
We as believers cannot just talk the talk. If we do, it gets watered down into pablum that nobody likes.
We have to be like the early Christians and be willing to walk the walk, whatever happens.
And that's what we are doing now.
I'm not able to watch the senate hearing right now. Anything new going on?

The ACLU was also part of the legal team challenging "Terri's Law 1," enacted in October of 2003 to give Gov. Jeb Bush authority to re-insert the feeding tube. The case was struck down as unconstitutional by every Florida court; the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the appeal."
There was big big money behind Michael Schiavo. The Schindlers never had a chance. I was unaware of the level of involvement of the ACLU.
They are for the civil liberties of everyone but the disabled.
Klein now? we've worked through the years on this. trying to respect family's & patient's wishes. sanctity of marriage, and levels of family in standing.
Amen to that. Any doubt that Christians on this board have had their faith and walk stengthened? I know mine has been. The more evil they look, the more holy God looks.
Worried some distant relative could come in and muck things up even if spouse and parents are in full agreement of treatment or withholding of the same.
