Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
Father God,
Our hearts are wrenched in pain right now. THis is not new news to You, our Heavenly Father. You see our pain. You see the pain of the Schindler family and our precious Terri Schiavo right now. We come to you again and yet again, petitioning , interceding, and yes, begging at Your feet, to save Terri for RIGHTOUSNESS SAKE. We are in a Holy War here dear Father. We have come up against the enemy!! You WON this BATTLE ON THE CROSS. You tell us to " Stand Still , for the BATTLE IS YOURS!!" LORD Jesus, you KNOW how hard it is for us right now to STAND STILL. We want to march on across the RED SEA to victory. HAVE MERCY on Your children Lord Jesus. Teach us YOUR WAYS.Your Word says that " Your ways are FAR ABOVE OUR WAYS"........Speak Peace to our hearts. Speak LIFE to Terri. Speak Hope to the Schindlers. Grant us our hearts desire Father. In YOUR NAME and FOR YOUR SAKE, AMEN
I wasn't listening to Rush, but wow, he's absolutely correct.
It's like the contrast of the world has been turned up. We are choosing sides, evil will oppose good at every turn. Life or death, life will automatically be opposed by those with evil in their hearts.
Into our closets we go, O Lord, on bended knee we go, O Lord ... hear the cries of our hearts and see the tears that we weep over this mother's child ... we seek the life of this wounded woman. Bring her from the brink of death, O Lord, that she would live.
Of the 10 people arrested today at the hospice, 3 of them have been children, ages 10, 12, and 14. (FNC)
He said later on that he probably would not do it, and was very very dispondent with himself for his lack of powerlessness to actually go through with it, and disgust at the whole situation and injustice. He calls all bystanders to this slow murder, as "participants".
True enough. When, if she passes away this Holy Week, or Easter Week next week, we all will have some level of responsibility (socially if you will) for allowing National Socialist politics of the 1930s to creep into our nation by liberal judges and media.
In fact, as someone said, maybe we SHOULD apologize to Germany for fighting them when they were Nazi and defeating them, for sixty years later, we are adopting some of the social policies of the very Nazi's we fought against.....
Amen and amen. May the Lord hear our petitions and grant Terri LIFE.
I don't disagree. Sorry if I was over the top. I know we're all on the same side here. I'm praying hard for Terri, as I know you are.
Read the 11th circuit decision, and then come back and tell me that you still believe that. Gibbs simply wrote a complaint not framed in de novo terms. The lower court federal judge, Whittemire (sp) was properly constrained by what was in the complaint. The federal courts competently carried out their responsibility in good faith in my considered opinion (and it has been considered).
Unbelievable!!! We kill someone so they can go to heaven. What justification!!
Legal -
If the Florida statutes specifically state that it is illegal to starve and dehydrate someone, why couldn't the Florida Attorney General just make a call to the hospice to tell them that he is sending the ambulance to get Terri and that if they don't tell the police guards to stand down (they are on the hospice property, so the hospice must have allowed them permission to be there) that he will have them all arrested for attempted murder?
No, they aren't wrong...I am sure they went to the 11th...i think because with the 11th they are assured to have the appeal reviewed, but with SCOTUS before you can even have it looked at they have to grant a writ of certiorari, if that is denied they don't bother with it at all...if timeis still permitting (Terri has to hang on) they will still have the SCOTUS option if the en banc 11th denies
Amen.
amen!
How hard the wood rubbed against
your bruised and bleeding back,
how hard the iron
that made your arms
throb with excruciating pain,
how the thorns dug in when you held your head fully up,
a symphony of pain
whose depths I can only vaguely
imagine,
how hard it was to see
the Magdalene there,
weeping her heart out,
your aunt,
and especially,
your mother,
who watched every moment,
sharing your pain
as you moved into the darkness of death,
but could any of these compare
to the wall of separation
from your Father
that our sins,
the sins of the world
placed between you,
until, bereft of everything but pain
and the approach of death,
you cried out
like a child longing
for the parent
he couldn't see.
All this for love.
O Lord,
you who gave so much for love,
remember our sister Terri,
going through a long sad passion,
being sacrificed on the altar of convenience,
a dry bloodletting
in the name of mercy,
pretending to be a suicide
but in reality a murder by law.
She is the symbol you raised up
to remind us that the weak and vunerable
are also beloved by you,
and your children.
Be with her now Lord,
while she is particularly with you on the cross,
victim of other's sin,
have mercy on her
and those who love her,
keep them all close to your heart.
Amen.
I, too, have taken hands off the keyboard for a moment, closed my eyes, and said it.
I've put it in God's hands, at 1:08 p.m. Eastern Time.
A lot of us are doing just that right now.....
Father God, I am in agreement with my sister, Pegita and the millions of others in this world praying for Terri -- your child. I claim your promise, Lord, that where 2 or 3 are gathered, there you will be also, and ask that you will infuse the entire area surround the Hospice with your presence. May the evil-doers tremble at the very presence of God, and may their wicked actions be stilled.
We ask for a miracle, Oh Lord, and ask it in the name of Your Son, our precious Savior, He who is called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. We will praise You, Father, for Your wonderful and perfect will, whatever that may be.
You are Holy, and worthy to be praised, Oh Lord, and we claim Your promises on behalf of our sister, Terri and her family!
Amen and Amen.
I dont mind being arrested - hopefully with enough people we can rescue Terri
We have the power to change things.
Praying for a miracle. A miracle so great that there is no doubt in anyones mind that His hand is upon and He is protecting His child. His will be done.
Amen and Amen.
Sustain our beloved Terri is her greatest hour of need. May she feel Your Heavenly Presence ... may she be refreshed by the wellspring of Living Water ... may manna from Heaven rest upon her parched lips ... may the Word of Life be hid in her heart ... may it be the food for her soul that man has denied. May the Heavenly Host surround her and her beloved family ... they can only be sustained by You, O God ... reach into their tear-stained hearts with the assurance that You are with them and will not leave them comfort less.
Bring forth that one Judge for whom we have long prayed ... one who will render justice long denied. You have graced this nation so with Your Merciful Hand ... rise up this day, O God, and call forth that one Judge who will send away these vipers from hell, else this mother's child will perish. Thank You that You are God ... You are Sovereign ... thank You for knitting our hearts in prayer for Terri and those like her. Shelter her, Gentle Shepherd ... carry her gently back to the sheep fold and into the care of her family. In the Name of Jesus, may it be thus to Your Everlasting Glory, may it be thus ... Amen ...
As your servant prays, so let it be, oh God. We beseech you, hasten to save Terri. What we cannot do, You can do.
Touch all hearts with Your love, with your mercy and compassion, Father. In Jesus' Name. Amen
