TAMPA, Fla. - Warning that Terri Schiavo is "fading quickly," her parents begged a federal appeals court Tuesday to order the severely brain-damaged woman's feeding tube reinserted while they pursue claims that her rights are being violated.

David Gibbs III, attorney for parents Bob and Mary Schindler, told the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta that their 41-year-old daughter might die before they get a chance to fully argue their case. The appeal came after a federal judge in Tampa rejected the parents' emergency request earlier Tuesday.
"Where, as here, death is imminent, it is hard to imagine more critical and exigent circumstances," Gibbs said in the appeal, filed electronically with the court. "Terri is fading quickly and her parents reasonably fear that her death is imminent."

Where there's life, there's hope, as Terri would say. Amen.
I'm not disagreeing with you that I wish this could be done, but I've read and listened to so many different people with legal backgrounds say that neither one of them have the power to do as you say. I believe that if it were legal for either one of them to do what we would like for them to do, one of them would have already done so.
I'll bet you two are starting to get all tingly with excitement over what's about to happen. Try to go easy on those of us who would rather err on the side of life. It's gonna be hard not to gloat.
Not to mention his Ladies of Free Republic Fan Club.
No kidding. I listened to quite a bit of Rush's program today (riding in the car), and I think he closed with the very question that sticks in my mind: Why all this energy on the side of those who want to see her dead? He says it indicates the depth to which the Culture of Death has permeated our society, and I strongly concur. Like Rush, I was amazed to learn from this case where my fellow Americans (and fellow Catholics) really stand. It's horrifying.
Your prayer post #13 made me LOL. For some strange reason, I feel calm today. Yesterday, a nervous messed-up wreck!! Keep praying, kiddo. Miracles can still happen. Where there's life, there's hope, as Terri used to say.
Except that it's the Commies and trade unions (one and the same, really) that are doing the killing.
Why does Google have an icon of their letters half full of water drippinng into a bowl?
I hope that his fondest hope, that she die and this all be over, be in vain and that he be hounded and haunted continually.
Please, let's hope against hope. This is not over yet.
Lord, we ask a miracle. Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, interceed for us. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Something very strange about this whole thing taking place this week!
My email for today
Sunday is coming!
This week's for many of us is Easter.
When Jesus was/is our sacrifice
Why were sacrifices so bloody?
". . . It is the blood, representing life, that brings you atonement."
Leviticus 17:11 NLT
A life had to be given up (the animal's) so that a life could be spared (the person's). The blood of the sacrifice represented one life being poured out in substitution for another.
Alleluia! Christ Is Risen! The LORD has risen indeed! Alleluia!
"A life had to be given up so that a life could be spared!"
HMMM

That's supposed to be for the World Water Day. Creepy, ain't it?
It's something like Global Water Day, or some such "rainbow-like" UN nonsense.
I wondered the same thing. Could not figure significance. If you find out, please to ping.
Maybe they'd trade Mumia for Terri. Irregardless, I'll feel better next time we put another piece of human garbage to death on execution day here in Texas (Wednesday is execution day) right in the face of the liberal left.
I hope they do mumia soon.
I am praying for her life but if she dies, she is in my opinion a martyr and may be beatified/canonized someday, like St. Gianna Beretta Molla.
There is a link when you click on the icon. Apparently it is "World Water Day." Very ironic in a sad sense as these people are more concerned with feeding cactus plants a bowl of water than poor Terri!
Can't you picture Michael, Felos, and Greer sitting around together toasting with tall cool glasses of icewater, ice cubes tinkling?
